It seems there aren't any pro-American rallies planned for South Florida (West Palm Beach/Ft. Lauderdale/Miami/Homestead). ANYONE INTERESTED??? Please email me at johnfambroseiii@yahoo.com if you are. If we can get enough people, and find a good place, I'll volunteer to alert the media. -- John

Checking in from Kendall (Miami) here. I can participate for a few hours on Saturday now that I have secured babysitting. :)
I've been on a few FReeps before, so let me alert our Florida Chapter President and see what he says.

Hey! I can be there! I'm in Melbourne but I'm totally willing to make some kinda drive. Just let me know. I can make bumper stickers and signs and if there's a bullhorn I can rant with the best of 'em. :)

I just heard (on local tv) there is going to be an ANTI-WAR rally in Tempe,AZ today or tonight. Trying to find out some info I made the mistake of clicking on the "Arizona Chapter" link on the Free Republic main page. What a joke. The info on the page is THREE YEARS OLD! It's covered in cobwebs! Now I'm going to have to find out on my own and see if I can find out where it is going to be, make my way there, and see if I can find anyone supporting the troops.
Chapters or pages linked from Free Republic that are no longer maintained or active need to be DELETED. Jeeeeeez.

Thanks for info, I didn't mean to be so critical but was frantic for info. The anti-Bush rally was at Mill and University and I think it's already over or underway. A propaganda "vigil" put on by Amnesty International. If I would have known earlier I would have made my way there.

There will be a Rally For America on 17th Street Causeway and Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale from 10-1. That and the one in Miami are the only two I know of down here in South FLA.

Support Our Troops rallies are being held every Friday in Stuart, FL. Check out
http://www.artfightingterror.org website for pics and updated narrative.
Mainly promoted by big, hand-painted street signs and flyers
distributed around community. Initiated by phone calls to veteran groups, chamber of commerce, fire and police. With over a hundred rallying we got on TV (Channels 5 and 25). Stuart News and Palm Beach Post were virtually no help whatsoever in getting the notice out nor in writing articles that would help our troops morale. Payoff is to get as big a supportive crowd as possible with pictures on a website to email the troops to show grassroots America is overwhelmingly behind them despite the media coverage of "anti-war" protestors all out of proportion to their numbers.
