Right afterwards, Linda Vester read a report that the Marines were halted 200 meters into Iraq by Iraqi anti-tank and small arms fire. Weird, 200 meters???

I missed it. How many surrendered so far? I was in the shower.

Let's not compare the Iraqis to the French. The Iraqis are doing the proper thing here (if indeed, they are surrendering). Saddam Hussein is not worth even stubbing one's toe over.

Let's not compare the Iraqis to the French. The Iraqis are doing the proper thing here (if indeed, they are surrendering). True, true. But I'm sure the French are watching all this surrendering, and they're no doubt feeling very jealous of the Iraqis. Perhaps the French were against the war because they knew our campaign would never give French troops the chance to surrender to the fleeing Iraqi military.

Ya mean the supposed "ELITE" Republican Guard?
It always bugs me the way the media always includes that word when the RG are mentioned.

And that's saying a lot considering that if Sodexho does have a contract with the Marines, many military kitchen staff are French.
