I don't care what time it is in Baghdad....the real time is high noon for Iraq.
Bret Baire says the pentagon says, "This is it". And when Peter Arnett pretends he didn't know it was coming, he's lying. Brit Hume says they got the heads up a few hours ago, but couldn't report it. I'm sure CNN got it too.

Oh my word, there's photos on Fox. They're saying MOAB will be dropped.
Ollie North on the Iraqi border: At least 25 aircraft have been taking off in the last few minutes. The base he's in has been attacked several times, but Patriot missiles took them down.

Predictable -- I think as a military doctrine Shock & Awe is crap. As a psyop it was beautiful. I predicted Baghdad would get a spankin' tonight, more than last night but not as badly as tomorrow night unless they get their sh*t together enough to stop calling us a "lying, criminal gang of bastards" and get serious about unconditional surrender. It's hard not to laugh at the way these people string words together even when they're cursing you.
Not that I'm any sort of genius for figuring that the game plan will be gradual increase in pressure.

AAARRRRRRGGGGH!!!!!
I have been watching Fox almost non-stop (save for 20-30 minute 'naps') since Wednesday nite! I even took off work yesterday. So this morning I'm on my way into work, and Rush starts reporting that sirens going off in BaghDAD (thanks for the pronunciation, Shep)! I have THE WORST luck ever!
Someone should post screen captures from Fox for those of us cubicle bound saps.

It's time to rock and roll. This will be (my prediction) one wave after another for the next 24 hours. Fighters and bombers at night, cruise missles all day. Three worst jobs in the world today:
1. Iraqi radar operator who has been saying "I ain't turning this thing on boss, are you crazy".
2. Gardener at one of Sadamn's palaces.
3. Anyone who fires on one of our aircraft. The A-10's are airborne as are the F-15's.

Never fear. The end of the war will be a distant memory by the time your daughter makes it through ASVAP, MEPS, Basic, AIT and deployment. And, lucky for you as a parent, your daughter won't be on the combat lines unless she is a pilot.
