Great photos. However, I will take you up on one point. Turkey are not against us, they are quite rightly looking out for themselves. As much as we don't like it, we cannot in all honesty condemn their invasion when they are clearly safeguarding their own security.

Kurdistan you say eh? I'm not sure that's a place Turkey would recognize!
And burning tires? Tires have only been around for 100 years, if that. Can't be much of a tradition. Now in Bill Clinton's Haiti, they put the tires around their political enemies before setting them on fire. Now that's a tradition.
Too bad you can't see the eyes of the soldier getting kissed! Ha! Ha! That would be a photo!
I saw some of the convoy video footage on FoxNews. I was surprised how much construction equipment was in the convoy but I guess I shouldn't have been. I imagine it's worse driving a tank or armored vehicle but I can tell you that driving a front loader hundreds of miles would definitely not be my idea of a pleasure drive.

Sharing M&M's. :) He looks so young himself. We need to have parades for these brave soldiers when they return. I see these pictures and I feel such disgust with the "peace" protesters.

Excellent update!
Interesting note: Several days ago, I heard our troops were ordered not to give out candy to the children--with concern that the children would be drawn to the troops and be at risk in potential conflict situations.

Dragunov sniper rifle. I read an interesting article once that tested these with the special 7.62x54R sniper ammo that apparently exists for these things (in Russia, I've never seen any here). It was amazingly more accurate with the special ammo than with garden-variety 7.62x54R that you might buy for a Moisin-Nagant. If you could get the special ammo here, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. They used to be fairly reasonable here, haven't priced one in a couple of years.

I know a couple of them and have given them fair warning that I plan on being incredibly insufferable for at least a week. They should get used to the phrase "I told you so." and "IN YOUR FACE!!!".
