The Bush Administration should immediately announce a refugee/asylum program for all French Jews. At this rate, the Islamonazis and peace creeps will be building concentration camps for the 'Zionists' by Summer.

Which Catholics are those?

The approximately 4% of Frenchmen who still attend Mass each week do not send their children to the Catholic schools.

The vast majority of children at that school are the children of well-to-do atheists who send their kids to private school so they can get better jobs.

I've been hearing a lot of reports like this over the past year or so. Sickening. Let them come to the U.S. and let France go to hell.

We should absolutely offer asylum to any European Jew who feels threatened by Muslum anti-semitism.

We all know the demographic trends in Europe, for example, more French Muslims that Protestants and likely more practicing Muslims than practicing Catholics; the Muslim birthrate is much higher.

Sooner or later we're going to offer asylum to any European Jew or Christian who's persecuted by Muslims or who is smart enough to see the writing on the wall. Not sure if our government has the personnel or forms to process immigrants who don't speak Spanish.

The French were traditionally the most anti-semitic country in Europe. Why do you think the Jewish bankers and the like prospered most in Germany and Italy? They were more welcome there. The French are despicable. I worked with a number of French Jews living in the US in the 80s through various business deals. They were quite proud to be 'French' -- some famous names too -- but they and their families were all here......

To some, such incidents, which have become increasingly common since the latest round of Israeli-Palestinian fighting began more than two years ago, represent the Middle East conflict brought to Europe, where sympathy for the Palestinian cause runs far higher than in the United States.

It seems there's a simple solution to this pesky little problem: Israeli Jews should allow themselves to be driven into the sea.

Wrong link -- you're supposed to link directly to the story, not to the newspaper's front page.

"Jews: Arm yourselves. If they attempt a repeat of Crystalnacht they should be met with a hail of bullets."

The Jews have their motto: "Never Again". The J.P.F.O (Jews For the Preservation of Firearm Ownership) to throw into the mix. As the Who sings it: "...won't get fooled again..."

"Seriously, with the growing rise of Islam in Europe AND the acquiescence of Western European governments, it might be wise for Western European Jews to make travel plans."

The "travel plans" may be God's doing in calling the Jews back to Israel. There was a time when many Jews were prevented from moving to Israel, then now that they are free to, there are still hold-outs and straglers that need a nudge. God works in mysterious ways...He had to have angels drag Lott out of Soddom & Gommorah before he turned it to a salt pile, so He may have to drag them out of (French Soddom) and the rest of Europe to get them back to Israel...(or the U.S.).

After that...who knows?

a latent anti-Semitism that they say has created an environment in which a new strain of racism can thrive

In islam, racism and hatred have never been latent...its just easier for the French Jews and the French in general and for that matter most of the West, to include the US, to believe this so as not to have to face reality.

I've been amazed at things I have heard Americans say recently. So many have been essentially parroting the Palestinian Zionist Conspiracy line, yet they don't see how twisted the logic is. They are completely unwilling to accept that the reason Israel gets more military aid than any other nation is that no other ally comes close to needing as much military strength simply to survive. They don't see that one reason the pro-Israel lobby spends so much annually is that we have elected officials who are willing to be photographed hugging the wife of Yassar Arafat, but never seem to have any sympathy for the innocent children killed by suicide bombers.

Anti-semitism is alive and well in many places, it's just that so many don't see how their beliefs are only one step above those of the PLO and Hamas.

"I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you." Sooner or later, France will pay a price for this. And whoever the bishop is in Sevran should get control back over his schools. The Archbishop of Paris is Jewish (he is a convert) and has an excellent reputation, but on the whole Catholicism in France is in a pretty desperate state.

at the private Catholic school he then attended

Where I was growing up, a local Catholic high school routinely had a Jewish kid as tops in his class. Likewise, if I had young children I would send them to Catholic schools vice public schools.

There are Jewish schools, would it not have been more appropriate to attend a Jewish school? Unless this is a leftist-liberal family to whom "militant" Islamists and a Catholic curriculum are preferable to (ugh) "ultra-Orthodox" Jews.

Not everyone is willing to call the current wave of violence anti-Semitism. Henri Wajnblum, head of the Union of Progressive Jews of Belgium, said it is important to distinguish between anti-Semitic and anti-Israel actions.

ROTFLMAO. Only a "Progressive" could find such an excuse. The anti-Isreal side wants to kill 6 million Jews in the mid-east while the anti-semitic side wants to kill 6 million Jews and Europe. I guess that somehow makes them different to a pin-headed "Progressive".
