========= Baghdad =========
In Baghdad, empty streets, fierce sandstorm, and pollution by
Saddam's thick smoke from burning oil trenches.

Ozymandius by Percy Bysshe Shelley
I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said--"Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desart . . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandius, King of Kings,
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."

War Crimes of Iraq
In Baghdad, at Saddam's burning fuel trenches.

In Baghdad, ground-truthing.

In Baghdad, at the al-Durra oil refinery, Iraqi Oil Minister Amer Mohammad al-Rashid.

In Baghdad, Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammad Said al-Sahhaf,
now running Iraq in competion with Azziz, denied Baghdad was receiving
technical advice from Russian experts on how to jam British and US military hardware.
It was reported that he later laughed that it was Tikrit that actually got the advice.

In Baghdad, at the Information Ministry, a gaggle of journalists watch the replay of pre-recorded tapes of Saddam on TV.

In Baghdad, Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammad Said al-Sahhaf,
boasted about the captured American hero Apache helicopter pilots
who had been displayed contrary to the Rules of War.

In Baghdad, on the trail of Tariq Aziz, at a Baghdad hotel press conference.
Aziz insisted that either one of Saddam's doubles, or himself, or the Minister
of Information, would remain in control of the country.

========= New Baghdad =========
In New Baghdad, a suburb of Baghdad, Iraqi children safely watch the ultraprecise
US bombing of Saddams regime. The oils fires ringing the city are more
of Saddam's war crimes.

========= Karbala =========
Near Karbala, American Army champions meet weather of biblical proportions.

========= Najaf =========
In Najaf, gallant Army engineers and their equipment.

In Najaf, paladins of freedom process Iraqis, and move on.

========= Yousifiya =========
In Yousifiya, ~20 miles south of Baghdad, Iraqi armoured personnel carrier
and other terrorist transport systems were taken.

========= Nasiriyah =========
In Nasiriyah, Iraq, valiant Marines enter by a transport helicopter.

In Nasiriyah, Iraq, protector US marines retrieve an American hero, KIA,
after ambush by Iraqi forces disguised who egregiously feigned surrender.

In southern Iraq, Iraqi children cheer liberating soldiers

In southern Iraq, heroes everywhere. 105mm guns push north.

Somewhere in southern Iraq, US medic heroes mark out a landing zone at a captured airfield.

Bill O'Reilly stated on his show tonight that a high ranking member of the CIA told him that the CIA and U.S. military conservatively estimated that the U.S. armed forces and British forces have eliminated at least 25,000 Iraqi soldiers. You would never know that if you listened to CNN or read the New York Times. We are winning this war in an overwhelming and unprecedented manner.

Thank you, Sir! You provide an incredible service to all of us.
These photos do not begin to tell the story of the conditions our troops are enduring.
I spent a lot of time in the 80's in Jordan, Kuwait, and Iraq. I was, many times, caught up in one of these "dust storms' (which is what they actually are) and I can tell you that the conditions are miserable. The dust can be so bad that you literally cannot see your hand in front of your face, etc. Also, breathing this for any period of time will start to make one nauseous.
The natives take a time out. We used to push on. Were we stupid? No. I think we just had an indominatble attitude. This has apparently survived in this generation of American warriors.

Amazing photos... I really liked the one of the children. American children who are so sheltered from the ravages of war, might be frightened of the image of the tanks moving through. But those children looked excited and interested in seeing it. They are witnessing history.

Awesome pics!
I curious if there are pictures available of our good works in Afghanistan?
I know we've built hospitals especially for teaching prenatal and infant care (educating parents) as well as so much other stuff. I'd really like to see those types of pics passed around so people know what a tremendous success the war in Afghanistan was/is.
(I read some anti-war nonsense talker saying "we never hear about Afghanistan" commenting this war would be a failure as that was- i.e. not catching osama)
Thanks! keep posting those pics, they fill my heart with pride!!

Pay What We Owe
War is hell
So many pay
Freedom's price
In death they lay
But to bend our knees
To evil's threat
Would be far worse
Than to pay that debt
So bring the glory
Bring the gore
Cause we know damn well
What we're fighting for
Come what may
We'll win this fight
As our banners fly
By the dawn's early light
Our foe will bow
And not our side
Though the awful cost
Will make us cry
But when it's o'er
Our heads held high
We'll know they did
Our vict'ry buy
So honor them
And praise their names
The least they've earned
Is a heroes fame

I don't always (hardly ever) reply to the threads you ping me to, but I always see them. Everyday when I get home from work I check "my comments" and see your latest thread. I click on it then change out of my work clothes ... then I eat my dinner, check my mail, and help my kids with their homework. After that I go back to my computer, and the rest on the time the page is loading I ponder whether or not a dyslexic atheist insomniac stays up all night wondering if there really is a dog.
But I wouldn't miss it for the world.
Great as always. Keep on bumpin'.
