Another highway to hell? If we saw that big a target and reported it ??
Bombers were probably on their way or already on top of that convoy by the time it hit the wires.

headed south towards the Karbala gap. not sure if its a repositioning or an attack, centcom is tracking it. they may be taking advantage of the sandstorm.

Weather shouldn't be a problem. You just lay the line of bombs right up the highway.

i do suspect that we have a little something that we can use to alter their outlook, even in bad weather. some big craters in front, and some big craters behind, and the crunchy middle at our leisure.
i do hope it clears up enough that the a-10 drivers get a piece of it, though. they do so enjoy their work.

I suspect some kind of sneak attack, fake surrender or something like that.
Let's obliterate it, just to be safe.

A "human shield convoy"? A bunch of civilians forced to drive in the convoy, with a few strategically placed RG with chemical weapons at the ready.

Dang, I hope they don't surrender.I would say the same thing ... but let's think about this. If this report is true and I'm not sure if it is (I'm familiar with WJLA TV)....if it is a surrender, it would depend on who it was. Think about it. If it was someone noteworthy, we could exploit this beyond measure. We could tape it, and with Iraqi TV now sending out a signal the strength of a 60 watt bulb, we could use it to show the Iraqi people that Saddam's regime is in the midst of a collapse. This is...of course speculation on some "not so reliable" information with no corroboration.

Another highway to hell? Don't tell Colon Bowel, he'll shut down the operation. It galls me that this ex-general can't face the realities of war. His answer to everything is to hold hands and sing Koombayah.

IRaqi's know we'll give this convoy some time to see if they are going to surrender. I suspect this might be an attempt to surround the coalition forces under cover of the sandstorm. Ya can't fly A-10's and see much in this soup.

Dang, I hope they don't surrender. I don't like that thought either.
Fox was saying Saddam had kids raised as killers since they were 4 years old. Martial arts trained and willing to die.
Fox said there were thousands of them.
I hope the guys have been alerted to the danger in advance.
I'd prefer we take the 300 out, and ask questions later.
To: MrPeanut
Don't get me wrong -- we must wipe it out regardless. Our troops come first.

To: CurlyBill
How about a 10,000 to 15,000 Republican Guard surrender? That's the surrender I'm looking for. We could call it a The Mother Of All Surrenders. Then it would be all over except for the shouting.

If this convoy is meant to harm us, watch how miraculously quick the sandstorm stops, and a target rich environment appears, like a giant buffet, for a hungry pack of Warthogs.
