"CNN's favorite general, Wesley Clark, has also been heard to opine that our troops are getting bogged down in Iraq. His competence to judge American generals is questionable since his command was limited to working for NATO. We prefer to hear from American generals. Clark's contribution to international relations consisted of mistakenly bombing the Chinese embassy in Belgrade. In his zeal to prevent troop casualties, he ordered pilots to fly at such high altitudes that the pilots complained that they were being forced to incur unnecessary civilian casualties."
No one says it like Ann. I always learn something from her too. Never new Clark was so worthless.

Man, I love this woman. I'm reading her book "Slander" now and it's a very good read. Can't wait to get my hands on "Treason". And I don't think she's obsessed with the Times. I think that she, like any good American, just wants to make sure we identify defeatist, liberalist bullsh**t whenever and wherever it happens to rear is cowardly head.

Since the first bomb hit Baghdad, everyone at the Times had been itching to use the word "quagmire." Somewhat surprisingly, Saddam beat even Maureen Dowd to the punch, thus allowing the Times to use "quagmire" with abandon the day after his speech...
JohnHuang2 and Ann Coulter seem to think alike!

Quagmire Recalled: [Iraq, oops,] Afghanistan as Vietnam

Quagmire Recalled: Afghanistan as Vietnam
By R. W. APPLE Jr.
ASHINGTON, Oct. 30 Like an unwelcome specter from an unhappy past, the ominous word "quagmire" has begun to haunt conversations among government officials and students of foreign policy, both here and abroad.
Could Afghanistan become another Vietnam? Is the United States facing another stalemate on the other side of the world? Premature the questions may be, three weeks after the fighting began...

I am 70, a retired newspaperman with 46 years in the trenches and in love with Ann Coulter because of her great talent. Ann Coulter can spin phrases like no one else. This lady is the best writer in America when it comes to commentary on national and international events. Unfortunately, she will never win the Pulitzer Prize because she is not "politically correct." She has just written a piece that tells it like it is and really took the bark off the New York Times, the baleful Forest Sawyer, the dour Dan Rather and the frumpy, sexually confused Maureen Dowd.

Thank goodness, somebody who agrees with me. She's very pretty, but she's really too thin. I don't like to see protruding collarbones, fleshless upper arms, or calves essentially the same diameter as the ankle.
Ms. Coulter needs to build a little muscle, though, not fat. It's not healthy to be that thin, but she doesn't need padding, just more definition.

How so? Are you talking about him derailing his call to get back into the market or derailing the thought that he doesn't cause market movement?
The market drop of 2000 (did I get the year right?) was exactly with his call to get out. I got out within one week of his call and I'm glad I did. Back then he did say that he would never make a call like that on the radio again becasue of the impact it has on the market. Then, 1 1/2 weeks ago he made the call on the radio (4 days after he made the call in his $185/year news letter and 4 days into the big market uptick).
