China readies for future U.S. fight

CHINA READIES FOR FUTURE U.S. FIGHT March 26, 2003 CNN reports: "The Iraqi war has convinced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leadership that some form of confrontation with the U.S. could come earlier than expected. Beijing has also begun to fine-tune its domestic and security policies to counter the perceived threat of U.S. 'neo-imperialism.' As more emphasis is being put on boosting national strength and cohesiveness, a big blow could be dealt to both economic and political reform. That the new leadership has concluded China is coming up against formidable challenges in the short to medium term is evident from recent statements by President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao. Hu indicated earlier this year Beijing must pay more attention to global developments so that 'China make good preparations before the rainstorm ... and be in a position to seize the initiative.' Wen also pointed out in the first meeting of the State Council, or cabinet, last Saturday the leadership 'must keep a cool head.' 'We must boost our consciousness about disasters and downturns -- and think about dangers in the midst of [apparent] safety,' he said

And......the Chinese terminal - COSCO (China Ocean Shipping Co) is almost completed at the Port of Los Angeles. Have written the local newspapers by way of Letters to the Editor and naturally, no response. This is in addition to the comments made by ALOHA RONNIE and the fact that he tried a couple of years ago to stop this but, thanks to the then Mayor of Long Beach and Hillary Clinton, the Chinese terminal went ahead. With all the defense contractors around - what do you think?

Always amazes me the persistence of people who are idiots yet doggedly persist in being idiots, like Hal Lindsey.

Before you go calling him an "idiot" you should read the article.

Communist China has grand designs on conquoring the Pacific Rim and nullifying America as a world power which can forstall or stop their delusions of grandure.

Mr. Lindsey is correct, if you do not believe him, just look at what China has been up to over the last two decades and what they want to do with their military power. Another good indicator is their lack of willingness to reign in their rabid dog leader of North Korea. They could end the nuclear threat NK poses tomorrow... if they wanted to, but they don't!

Why in the world are you bashing Hal Lindsey? He isn't mentioned in this article, has nothing to do with it, and to the best of my knowledge is a 100% American patriot. What's up with dragging him thru the mud?

Chinese strategy is different than American techniques.

The Chinese use slow effort to infiltrate organizations. The Chi-Comms are not averse to lying and fakery in order to paint themselves as true to the effort.

Then, after they have situated themselves in pivotal points, they turn the tide towards their own companies.

A tour through Fry's or KMart or Walmart makes it clear.

John HK just doesn't want to face the fact that soon the Chinese will nationalize all of our US businesses and manufacturing and they will loose big time. It's just a question of time.

And you are correct...China has never made any bones about conquering the USA. Last I read, China was well on it's way to beating us as the world's leading economic power. They claimed it would take 20 years, but things are progressing so well that now they advise it will be under 10.

In the meantime, the US is dying from lack of capital and jobs. And all of that cash that used to circulate in American pockets which made us so great now buys missiles to destroy our country.

But this is what happens when one allows Big Business to run our government like it has for decades.

About 68% of the 5.6 million shipping containers that arrive in the U.S. each year arrive from just 20 ports overseas.

the Customs Service only searches two percent of the containers that enter the United States each year.

Good post. This is another story that the news media has been ignoring. It is in our own backyard and they can't see the forest for the trees.

Who is an idiot? Here's a posting from early this month -
looks like there are a lot of concerned people out there!

To: HighRoadToChina

Li Ka Shing's largest business partner is the state-owned China Ocean Shipping Company, or COSCO. COSCO is the flag carrier for China, hauling official cargo exported by the Chinese government, including weapons. For example, the fully automatic AK-47 machine guns from Poly Technologies that were confiscated in the 1996 U.S. Customs sting operation were found onboard a COSCO ship.

U.S. Navy photos show COSCO cargo ships carrying missile-armed patrol boats bound for Iran and tons of depleted-uranium anti-tank shells for Pakistan. COSCO ships have carried jet fighters, missile parts and tanks for export to Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Syria and Libya. COSCO is also part of the Chinese navy and wholly owned by the Chinese government. COSCO is better known for its failed attempt to purchase the former Long Beach Naval Station with Li Ka Shing's Hutchison Whampoa. The failure was due mainly to national security objections voiced behind closed doors by U.S. Defense Department officials.

I can see that Li Ka Shing's role is certainly profitable for both --the Chinese army and him, alright!

If you are suggesting that Willy Lam is an idiot, your credibility has just plummetted permanently to the basement. Outside of the ruling elites themselves, nobody has a better line on inside the Chicom's heads.

"its simply impossible"

I love that line! Better read Bill Gertz's "The China Threat" before you make another similar statement.

Hal Lindsay didn't say it - the Bible did:

Revelation 10 vs 14 & 15 & 16

14 "Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River". 15 And the four angels who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year were turned loose to kill one-third of all the people on earth. 16 They led an army of 200 million troops - I heard an announcement of how many there were.

Of course I am referring to the "Kings of the East" - considered to be China. Dusted my bible off to find this verse.
