Thank you again Diogenesis for your thorough daily post. You need your own show, it would surely beat the network portrayal of hand-wringing, peace protests, and apologetic coverage of the war that they are now showing. These pictures of our brave soldiers is awe inspiring.

Great post , thanks again, you have another fan.
The latest infuriating liberal media tactic I have seen goes something like this..Iraqi's welcomed US troops, then sneered at them behind their backs when they passed by because they don't want us here and love Saddam etc.
I think this set of pictures inparticular goes a long way to debunking that lie. I mean, our troops are busier than all get out doing their jobs, the defacing of the Saddam pictures, that is something the locals did as their first shot at free speech.....

For the information of all the types of mines being found in the waters of Umm Qasar are of two different varieties. The LUGUM, the one that looks like a squashed basketball with horns is a chemical horn contact mine that carries a main explosive charge of approx. 100lbs of HBX. The cone shaped Manta mines are magnetic influence mines and can carry up to a 300lbs main charge. The diver sitting on the pier is wearing the Austrialian version of a U.S. made non-magnetic closed circuit Underwater Breathing apparatus, MK16 MOD 0.

To: Diogenesis
Why is it that every time we see pics of Iraqi arms its Russian? The tanks, The mines, the HK 47s.
And the Air planes consist of Migs and Mirages.
Where are the M-16's, Bradleys and F-16's?
I thought we supplied them for years and years with US armaments.

I thought we supplied them for years and years with US armaments.During the first Gulf War, they flew their planes to Iran so we wouldn't blow them out of the sky. I don't think Iran ever gave them back Heh.Heh.
Dio: These are such awesome pictures. They show so beautifully the compassion of the Coalition forces, and that contrasts so starkly with the brutality of the Hussein regime.
