The 8-foot-long, sausage-shaped Silver Fox drone has a propeller in the front, and detachable wings and tail fins -- all of which fold neatly into a converted golf club bag. It isn't the only tactical UAV slated for testing during the second Gulf War.

Neat technology, and important for the guys getting down and dirty on the battlefield. This must make the "Save the Whales" folks apopleptic. A technology developed to protect the "marine mammals" winds up supporting our "human marines"' war effort in Iraq.

The Silver Fox could become a robotic fighter, dealing pain from 500 feet. Exceptr from a Red Crescent report 2009... "And Iraqi veterans of the second Gulf War for years flinched at the very sight of high flying birds."
