America is better protected against terrorists and weapons of mass destruction today than it has ever been, says the head of a new federal agency assigned to guard the nation's 6,000 miles of international borders and 300 ports of entry.

Bonnor is either clueless or is purposely lying... I suspect he's lying. I live in Mexico City, work at our embassy and am in constant touch with (former INS) DHS officials. They've told me nothing has changed; our borders are just as porous and, in some respects, even more porous than pre-9/11. This administration is no different than the Clinton administration when it comes to protecting our nation.

BTTT!

Thank you for having the courage to speak out.

We're fortunate to hear what's really going on in the field from a few INS and Border Patrol Agents that we have come to trust.

I hope we can add your regular updates, from the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, to our Freeper Border Intel.

Latest Freeper Border Intel = Latest FBI

Sorry, cannot agree that this administration is no different than Clinton administration.

Can you possible imagine the uprising if more overt action along the borders were used?

The low life lying liberals are setting up the prospect of total choas if we placed the military on the border. There is little doubt of the risk from our borders, however, to equate the Bush administration to Clinton administration cannot be possible.

Personally I believe this is the reason the Bush changed his mind and decided to go with Homeland Security Agency, in an effort to do some house cleaning of inbred socialist within the government bureaucracy.

Reason why the socialist liberals were so adament about requiring special union priviledges in the new agency, attempt to protect the inbred socialist within.

"..., in an effort to do some house cleaning..."

It was Bush that dirtied up the house with his appointment of the pro-open borders, Libertarian, Ziglar to head the INS back in 8/2001.

Now Bush appoints Aguirre, a Cuban banker, and Asa Hutchison to run the Department of Immigration to, IYO, clean house?

IMO, Bush likes this particular house just the way it is, filthy beyond belief.

I read the Bonner article this a.m.

Kept waiting for the punch line where the reporter talks to Tom Tancredo, Dan Stein, Roy Beck or anyone who happens to live on the border, where they would laugh their butts off and roll on the floor listening to this stupefying drivel.

Never saw it. Apparently the reporter was happy to recycle Mr. Bonner's propaganda. So...I ended up laughing my butt off at him!!

"Our assignment is pretty simple: Keep terrorists and weapons of terrorism out of the United States; and while we've only begun to unify and integrate the federal agencies that will do the job, we are off to a good start," said Robert C. Bonner,

Freaking liar. Talk to those that routinely enter illegally. It's a joke and so is Bonner. They can't even keep the tons of dope that enter our country routinely, each month...And I for one, will not be surprised if another well planned terrorist attack occurs in our country...After all, there are millions of people here illegally, we don't have a clue who they are, where they are, or what they are doing .....

As a Border Patrol Agent I don't know that the border is any more secure than it was in the past. We have gotten more assets to help us patrol the border that have helped a great deal. We have developed new strategies for patrolling the border as well, and they have been extremely effective. For example, my Sector created a new Anti Smuggling Unit. Four agents by themselves caught well over 2,000 illegals and prosecuted 140 smugglers out 194 cases in just one year. If any of you know anything about the 9th Circuit Court and the USA's office in San Diego, you know what a feat it is to prosecute anybody. Despite all the new gadgets, strategies and new agents, we still operate under an umbrella of political correctness. Everything that is accomplished with the use of better assets can be offset by the fact that the smugglers and aliens can take advantage of our risk averse policies such our no highspeed pursuit policy.

That is perhaps the most ignorantly defeatist thing I have ever seen on FreeRepublic. 80% of the people in this nation are demanding better border control, including a majority contingent of those of Mexican descent. Tancredo was re-elected by an overwhelming majority.

With the current rate of invasion, the Slave Party will make sure those people never get off the bottom rung of the ladder unless they pay the appropriate fealty. We'll never outpander the Slave Party. Drop that Carl Rove whizdumb before he destroys the conservative base of the Republican Party forever.

Pardon for the ignorance oh englightened one, one battle at a time. Think you must read again, OVERT ACTION - was speaking to placing military there.

Did not say one word about being against stronger border control, rather pointed out reaction if we militarized the border.

Not being a defeatist, rather looking at reality, and since Fox has turned out to be like a Putin, Fox is not getting what he wanted.

Things have a way of working out without automatically firing shots.

The large number of hispanic population already voting and little cry from them about how the liberals are treating a nomination of hispanic judge.

This should be telling you something about how divided the hispanic vote already is. There are far more liberals hispanics in Congress.

Pardon for the ignorance oh englightened one, one battle at a time. Think you must read again, OVERT ACTION - was speaking to placing military there.

Defensive sarcasm duly noted. Are you suggesting that the United States is incapable of securing it's borders while conducting action afield? That's akin to suggesting that an army should ignore its flank.

Did not say one word about being against stronger border control, rather pointed out reaction if we militarized the border.

The border is already militarized, with MEXICAN troops that have been firing on US Border Patrol personnel, if you hadn't noticed. Further, it's well documented that there are large numbers of Arabs crossing that border for a price, so perhaps the situation is a bit more immediate than you realize. If the President took action citing infiltration by enemy combatants as a cause he would be entirely justified thus defusing the predictable reaction. I don't suspect you have ever been to Sierra Vista or Yuma. It's nasty down there.

Not being a defeatist, rather looking at reality, and since Fox has turned out to be like a Putin, Fox is not getting what he wanted.

Realistic? Oh, that's the word people use when they have no other supporting rationale for chickening out. Fox is getting plenty. He just wants more. So do his Chinese friends. So do a whole raft of NAFTA-happy American investors who'll get you to pony up the cash, again, when their Mexican loans go sour, again.

Things have a way of working out without automatically firing shots.

Wow, such realism. Seeing as "things" haven't "worked out" for thirty years and are still getting worse, how do you justify that conclusion as "realistic"?

The large number of hispanic population already voting and little cry from them about how the liberals are treating a nomination of hispanic judge.

That's not even a sentence, but your comment does more to illustrate how little support Bush should expect from hispanics (which is why he should fire Carl Rove). Then why allow more illegals who, because of their economic status, are sure to vote for Slave Party candidates at the first opportunity, legal or otherwise? If they don't care about Estrada and will vote Democratic, why should Bush care how they howl if he closes the border?

This should be telling you something about how divided the hispanic vote already is. There are far more liberals hispanics in Congress.

As if I didn't know. Unlike you (apparently) I have been to the border and spoken to front line people only last summer. I repeat: Why allow more illegals who, because of their economic status, are sure to vote for Slave Party candidates at the first opportunity, legal or otherwise? Why should Bush care how they howl?

Oh, yeah, TOTAL chaos.

If you are suggesting that we shouldn't do whatever it takes to control the border (and it WILL take the military or its equivalent to do it) because you are expecting riots in response to such action, then you have proven my accusation of your defeatism and cowardice.

Consider that at the current rate of intrusion by illegals, WE WILL VERY SOON BE GETTING TOTAL CHAOS ANYWAY (as intended I might add). So why shouldn't we take action before the numbers get worse and our situation becomes even more desperate? Consider that many of those who have the most to lose in such an uprising live near the border. They are the most committed to taking such action. They know what the stakes are and you shouldn't pretend any different. Might I suggest you spend a little time on Col. Ben Anderson's website.

You apparently don't know that the battle in this country is about the "LEFT" regaining their control and whatever they can do to do that they will.

Oh really? I grew up in San Francisco and now live in Santa Cruz County, the birthplace of the Agenda21 and one of the most leftist dominated counties in the United States. I have spent years documenting leftist racketeering using environmental law and published a book on the topic. What do you have to tell me about leftists?

You apparently fear them too much to stand and fight.

I don't place my faith in men.

Neither do I, but that doesn't mean I fall on the floor in fetal position either.

With all due respect to the gentleman, we are still not inspecting more than one or two percent of import containers and trucks coming into this nation. Does that sound like a fix?

We still have over a million illegals coming across our southern border each year. None of them are vetted upon entry. Does that sound like a fix?

We are still allowing middle-easterners from terrorist states to enter our nation. Does that sound like it's fixed?

Sorry, until they get serious I'm going to be seriously upset about it.

Wow and you call me an ignorant defeatist.

So you wrote a book, published it and can correct my writing.

You hate Carl Rove.

So you grew up with the "leftists". You are aware of one of their many methods of disruption to cause loss and chaos, and wrote a book.

You hate Carl Rove.

You have no idea what I know and don't know. What you have described are your own frustrations, anger, and hate. You want immediate action, bullets blazing, an all our war with Mexico.

You hate Carl Rove.

I will tell you flat out that I do not know what will happen with the tremendous influx of illegals coming across our borders. Concerned, yes. (excuse me if not writing complete sentences)

You hate Carl Rove.

I abhorred the Clinton administration seduction, and was heart sick when the low life was re-elected. There was nothing I could do about it, but pray. Made it thru it with eyes opened to what the whole of the enemy was and took comfort that because of being a citizen could not get the physical Saddam treatment.

You hate Carl Rove.

Half of this nation have been stung by the socialist scorpion sting, that has turned their minds and spines to mush. The enslavement of half of this nation is not limited to the immigration crisis and I refuse to become fuel for their attempts in bringing on blood shed in our own streets.

You hate Carl Rove.

We are suppose to be a "FREE PEOPLE" and "FREE PEOPLE" should stand against enslavement by obscene tax rates. All you see is NAFTA as the cause. NAFTA would be far different if we the people got to keep more of what we earn.

What the socialist "have been allowed" to do is use the "political system" to entice something for nothing.

The "economic system" is used to control their freedom.

The "education system" is used to continue the cookie cutter process of filling minds with lies.

Finally, the "religious systems" is being used to spiritually seduce individuals to turn their eyes away from our Heavenly Father.

You hate Carl Rove.

The ultimate goal of the satanic bunch of leftist is to remove from our foundation that declaration of "RIGHTS given to individual by the CREATOR no government can take.

Each individual has the "Right" to protect himself and home, via the second admendment.

Part of the satanic movement of the left is to push the right so far and hard to draw them into a blood letting right here. I refuse to be drawn into their plot and have no doubt who ultimately is in control and what will be will be it is Written have you not read.

If you knew what Carl Rove did to California by putting Gerry Parsky in charge of the CAGOP and then putting all GOP funds for the last election in Parsky's control, you'd hate him too. We lost that election due to poor turnout. Rove is directly accountable. NOT ONE Republican candidate won statewide office in the last election, and the reason wasn't a lack of GOP voters or bad candidates (Simon was screwed by consultants Parsky forced him to accept). It was Parsky's refusal to fund a get-out-the-vote effort in his pique to support Richard Riordan. Rove put him in that position and wouldn't do anything to change it.

What you have described are your own frustrations, anger, and hate.

Get a grip, crybaby. You just don't like being called on your cowardice and fall to race-baiting when you can't win on the merits of your arguments.

You want immediate action, bullets blazing, an all our war with Mexico.

And just what can you cite of what I said that substantiates that assertion? Actually, what I would prefer is Federal construction of suitable barriers, inspection of transiting vehicles, and support of a citizens' militia on private property.

Meanwhile, you seem to forget that the government of the Unites States is REQUIRED to secure the borders:

Section. 4.

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

As it is, the US government is arresting and prosecuting citizens who patrol the border. Apparently you have decided that Article IV of the Constitution should go ignored because of your unsubstantiated FEAR of an insurrection.

Meanwhile, I have expressed real concerns about saboteurs and terrorists infiltrating that border that you chose not to address so that you could accuse me of being a racist (there's a wonderful little article Jay Wally did on the subject somewhere on the WND site, but I'm not going to bother), and I don't care what you impute to be my motives for seeing the need to seal it.

Still, seeing as you have raised the demographic question, the real problem isn't one of race, it is rate. The vast bulk of American citizens of Mexican origin prefer that the American Southwest stays that way. Among recent arrivals however, they consider it to be rightly part of Mexico. At the current rate of immigration, we aren't be able to assimilate that many people. We aren't able to afford to house, feed, medicate, and educate them adequately either. That does no good for our ability as a nation to help Mexico out of the pit of her own making.

So, as opposed to sealing the border, would you rather wait for a revolt to "take back Azlan"? At the RATE things are going, there will be such an eventual attempt.

As for the rest of your childish ranting, you might change your screen-name to "Justmywailing."
