Cellucci isn't a liberal Democrat. He's a RINO.

Paul Cellucci is a liberal Democrat from Massachusetts

He is a Republican. Served under Weld and as governor in his own right.

Your government has spoken for you in the matter, and we're *VERY* tired of snotty comments for the little shits who run your government. They speak for you because you elected them.

Yep, the elected Canadian government has spoken, we are condemned as bastards, morons, and sluts(the "Screw the Americans" comment, which is debatable). I for one am very tired of the din of anti-American gutter hatred coming from Canada.

All of this is a result of over 30 years of that communist Pierre Elliot Trudeau and his lapdog protege Jean Chretien. Trudeau/Chretien and his leftist intellectual ilk has been systematicly indoctrinating Canadians in socialist dogma. Using government controlled media such as CBC and useful idiot publications such as the Toronto Star, Trudeau and Chretien have successfully "brainwashed" for lack of a better term, a large number of Canadians, turning them into a society weaned on the government teat, paid for by looting the wealth of those who have worked hard to succeed with crushing taxes, and fomenting seething hatred toward the USA in the name of "Canadian soverignty".

Canada needs our help. Canada's conservatives are fighting back against over 30 years of socialist excesses, and we as Freepers and Americans need to put the Canadian socialists "feet to the fire". I think it is a worthy of our efforts, and I hope it is worthy of yours.

The Canadian poll numbers reflect a Lack of Leadership on this tough, initially unpopular War by Chretien. People need to be cajoled and educated to make hard choices. Brits when polled were against this War initially. The Aussies were the same.

Now, due to LEADERSHIP not interested in focus groups and polls, the populace of both the UK and Australia supports their LEADERS who made difficult choices. History will also reward them as men of principle.

History will not be so kind to Chretien, Chirac, and Schroeder who chose not to lead at this important historical juncture.

The best thing that could possibly happen to Canada in my opinion is for Quebec to go it alone. They can create an alliance with France, and disappear from the world radar for a millenium.

I hope you're right about the emergence of new leaders. I haven't seen any signs of them yet, but you never can tell. Who expected George Bush to lead our country has he has?

Still, it looks from here as if Canada is suffering from the same predicament as England: corrupt and incompetent socialists in power, and a conservative opposition that is too weak, divided, and undistinguished to take advantage of the vulnerability of the party in power.

I hope to be proved wrong.

I spent four wonderful years in the Medicine Hat area.
However, sad but true the Canadian Government has not acted
in good faith, the Canadian conservatives appear to have torn themselves apart.

While it may be painful to all Canadians, a large dose of
economic pressure may force a regime change and provide a
vehicle of unity.

I believe the call it the "British Box" B.C. Alberta,Manitoba and Saskatchewan, any insight on the prevailing political climate would be appreciated.

I don't think that Mr. Chretian would like to see poll results in Quebec if the question was: "Who do you respect most, Chretian or Chirac?"

Your scenario will never happen. The western provinces would never be allowed to leave, and if they did, the US would not absorb them into the Union, as it would antagonize the remainder of Canada, (LOL, not that we owe them a thing, but international relations would prevail over common sense), and Britain, as Canada's Head of State. Again, the best thing is for conservative Canadians, (yep, all five of them), to move here if they want to live under non-French gov't. The reason I'm so against the Libertarian Party here in the US, is that they want to turn the US into a multiparty state like Canada, handing power to the Dems here as the "Alliance" has handed it to the Liberals by splitting what little conservative vote there is in Canada. There's more here than in Canada apparently, but even so, that's not saying much.....
