been adding flea collars along in packages to my son....others thought I was nuts when I would go and pick up a half dozen collars. Clerks at the store ask if you are running a kennel.

I read somewhere that ladies nylons help with midges. I guess you just pull the nylons over the head and wear it when you expect problems. Clear nail polish helps with runs.

Good points. I always throw it back in anti-2nd amd people's faces when they say how much more dangerous firearms are today. What a joke! Gangsters get shot with 9mm all the time and are patched up at the local trauma hospital and put back on the street.

Get hit by a mini ball in 1861, and you died in screaming agony in 2 or 3 days. If you were lucky and were shot in a limb, it was cut off without painkillers, and then you still had a 50/50 chance of dying of gangrene etc.

Are they anything like black flies?

Here in Maine, the black flies are torture in the summertime, you will inhale them, and they get up under your hairline, and leave nasty bites, as they anesthesize (sp?) you before they bite.. and will sometimes drive the moose to come into populated areas, just to get away from them..

(and maybe grab a Starbucks?)
