FREE REPUBLIC NETWORK

The Free Republic Network is pleased to announce that its chairman, Scott Swett, is scheduled to appear on the Fox News Network's Morning show - Fox and Friends at approximately 8:00 EST, Wednesday, April 2, 2003 to discuss the Rally for America and the Network's support of our troops fighting terrorism throughout the world and in support of our troops in the war in Iraq.

Scott will be representing Freepers far and wide in this rare network media opportunity to talk about our support of the US Military, President Bush and our desire to see a free Iraqi people.

In a six to eight minute segment Scott will be highlighting the recent nationwide rallies. Over the course of the month of March in over 100 cities over 150,000 people attended rallies in support of our troops.

Recent news polls show over 72% of the American people support President Bush and our troops. According to Fox News consultant Dick Morris, over 50% of the American people support the war even if it takes over a year. "Most Americans understand that removing Saddam Hussein's regime from power is an integral part of the War on Terror, and we want to honor those who are accomplishing this tough and dangerous job," said Swett in a pre-broadcast interview. "As for those who claim war never solves anything, let them take the matter up with the Taliban."

Join us and please share your support with Scott as he heads into downtown Washington D.C. to talk with Fox and Friends about Freepers!

I wonder if we FReepers have a higher-than-average incidence of SPAM attacks.

It wouldn't surprise me, but I'm pretty careful not to associate my RL email address(es) with my Freeper nick. I have other security measures I take as well to prevent DUmmy and/or spammer harassment as a result of my activities here.

However, in the case of the spam run I'm working on, I believe it originated because I post in some anti-spam newsgroups over in Usenet; a little childish "revenge" by spanked spammers. That's OK though - at the end of the day, I'll still have my email account and they'll lose their Internet account; just another day at the office for me.

Can I give you a list of about 1,000 addresses so that you could wreck havoc for me?

So, if you're the one bringing in the 1,500 pound Blue Marlin, what am I going to be doing? Standing there taking your picture?

The way it'll probably work, you'll be the one pulling in the boatload of 100-pound wahoo that we'll be having for dinner that night, while I'm throwing the marlin back because you can't harvest or eat 'em. (Suitable Fiberglas replicas are available at your local taxidermist though - imagine lugging one of THOSE back to the ship) ;)

VOC - I still love his screen name - Victim of Circumstance!

He looks so abused! Some victim having to wake you up!

Tsk! Tsk!

I'm not really complaining... since I have some friends who are out of work.
BUT - The weather is so beautiful today that it sure would've been nice to play hooky. :)

CD

If you leave the fishing to me you'll be lucky to have enough fish for two fish tacos!

"Fish tacos"

Man, and you call yourself a chef? I'll make sure to avoid any restaurant where you are working. ;o)

Oh, Road Rage isn't going to protect you from me now! I can burn a pot with the best of them! And if you haven't had fish tacos you've probably spent too much time in a hole in the ground!

TS

I'm up, also, and have FOX tuned in while I freep. I set the alarm clock, 'cause I was up way too late last night watching the war news. Having a steaming cup of coffee and a slice of homemade coffeecake while waiting for the really biggggg moment!

G'morning, Abner.

Coffee and coffee cake does sound better at this hour than fish tacos! Glad you're up! I'm burning out! Lights went on early here this morning!
