Busted! Lawrence Eagleburger outs the New York Times
On Fox News Channels hit debate show Hannity and Colmes, former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger inarguably exposed the anti-Bush bias of the New York Times for all to see. Secretary Eagleburger recounted how he was approached by the Times to write an op-ed piece. The Times told him, explicitly, to be critical of the administration.
This is an indisputable example of how the Times bends the news and its editorials to forward its radical left-wing agenda.

O'Reilly also had on how the LA Times ran a doctored photo on the front page making it look like a soldier was pointing his weapon at unarmed civilians.

Heard it.
How pathetic it must be to belong to a political party that views itself more important than the nation.
To: jmstein7
I heard Eagleburger. He used words like "no negotiating" and "kill the enemy". I am amazed at how we can use plain words these days. Some of the PC feel good babble is getting stripped away, and I am happy for that.

No.
I think they should look into this further -- get names, etc. This could be huge in starting to really bring down the NY Times.

Not only is it biased, its just plain dumb. Why would they be so blatant? Anyone with any sense will know enough not to ask someone like Eagleburger to deliberately slant his piece.
If they wanted criticism, there's plenty of places they can go for that. Hell, just turn over any rock in Hollyweird and some scumbag will slither out and be glad to write a hit piece on Bush.

"Boycott the NY Times!" Thank you, and I have been! After a very clever marketing campaign that the NYT's had going on for graduate students about 10 years ago, I did have a NYT's subscription. They very aptly lock on to students on campii with very low rates, hoping they will continue. I didn't and I hope others will recognize what they are doing........

The photo didn't look like that at all IMO. When my husband got his daily copy of the L.A. Times yesterday he started spouting angrily, "Look, they are making it look like the soldier is pointing the gun at the civilian's head!"
He grumbled about it for the rest of the day. Today he feels totally vindicated in his instinct that the photo was to make the U.S. military look bad.

I have understood the Democraps to be just that for years. Totally power hungry maniacs. The people mean nothing to them.
I just hope a few more dems take a hard look at what they support from their leadership.

My husband predicted the take down of the WTC in 1992. He's pretty savvy. He and David Horowitz had a nice little conversation about their renounced liberal days in a cloakroom at one of the 2001 Inaugural Balls. Like Horowitz he is savvy about libs and people.
You just aren't as aware of all the lib's mean, dirty little visual tricks that these guys are.
To: jmstein7

Colmes talked about how the UN is good at governing after the war and Liddy says -- no they are not -- the UN is only good for handing out food!
Now they have on Scott O'Grady -- one of them -- Hannity or colmes -- asked him what he flew. Scott said he flew an F-16 and one of them said -- off the carriers? I cracked up -- the look on Scott's face was priceless -- an F-16 off a carrier -- not in a million years. He is an Air Force pilot and they wanted to know if he flew off the carrier! Amazing!

Flood the Foxnews e-mail addy's to pursue this story, flood Drudge etc.
This is huge and needs to be developed. The thought of hurting the Times even a bit makes me salivate.
Too bad I don't have sources inside the Times or I would try to work this one myself.
To: demkicker
Did Eagleburger name names? I want these commies outed once and for all.He doesn't have to. Howell Raines. Howell Raines. Howell Raines. Howell Raines. Howell Raines. Named as executive editor just days before 9/11, and immediately ordered a radical leftward shift across the board. It is exceedingly common knowledge in the journalism community, and the paper has, in the last year and a half, lost a goodly percentage of its credibility as a result even within that sad little industry. And when the news media thinks you've gone too far to the left, that's really saying something.
