I just love it when they talk about American imperialism. I don't see us colonizing other countries (well, maybe Iraq--smile!). Turkeys. They all sound the same. They mouth the same propaganda.

All countries colonized by the West(ie: UK) couldn't have received a greater blessing.
Imposed on them(and ultimately adopted with thanks) were many of the basic elements of a superior culture. A culture based on liberty & justice. A culture of individual power to replace the barbaric caste & king existance indiginous to those areas occupied.
A casual glance of Great Britains former colonies illustrates imperialism to be one of the finest doctrines yet practiced by humanity. Hong Kong, India, Austrailia, Canada, and the United States all look upon their former occupier with much respect, and as a friend.
If we must continually be portrayed as 'imperialist', we should follow suit by claiming ownership of certain countries, and bring those people out of the stone age.

Outstanding! As I said to one of the organizers yesterday here on FR ... this is EXACTLY what we need to do.
Open up a multi-front campaign against these anti-American weasels ... just like in Iraq.
Financial, students, legal ... anyway we can put the pressure on and smoke them out and burn them.

Well said.

All these rallies might have spontaneously occurred no matter what we did, however, it is a fact that the dozens of rallies organized by FReepers, FR and FR Chapters beginning in March, culminating in the over 100 rallies on "Liberty Weekend" (and dozens after) were certainly on the leading edge of this movement. Exactly right, Bob....and now we have a huge 'COALITION OF THE WILLING TO RALLY' spread across the USA.
The (every Sunday) Venice Support our Troops Rally sparkeded by two Freepers, now has many GOP Club members, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, & Gulf veterans, local residents & visiting tourists!

In my brief presentation, I outlined a long history of U.S. invasions, wars of conquest, military occupations, and colonization in order to establish that imperialism and white supremacy have been constitutive of U.S. nation-state formation and U.S. nationalism. In that context, I stressed the necessity of repudiating all forms of U.S. patriotism. I also emphasized that the disproportionate majority of U.S. troops come from racially subordinated and working-class backgrounds and are in the military largely as a consequence of a treacherous lack of prospects for a decent life. Oh, for f@$k sake, this guy just outlined perfectly every (dishonest at that) premise underlying leftist anti-Americanism. Or anti-US or whatever the hell he wants to call it. He can't even do so without calling us racists for supporting the supposed American Hegemony. Whatever the funk that is.

I can't help but compare DeGenova to Jessica Lynch and her rescuers. Jessica Lynch, a very petite soldier, shot Iraqis until she ran out of ammunition, sustained two broken legs, a broken arm, and no food for eight days. Her rescuers were as brave as them come.
Now take DeGenova. Obviously, he doesn't even have the courage of his convictions. He makes anti-military and anti-American remarks, receives some backlash, and then goes into hiding. We can only pray he keeps on hiding. He is a coward.
Kudos to the Columbia students who came out against DeGenova. Kudos to Jessica and her rescuers. These folks are the backbone of America!

Well, I hope that Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from 3rd Batallion 2nd Marines, Kuwait, know that most Americans are with them and appreciate their sacrifice.

this guy just outlined perfectly every ... premise underlying leftist anti-Americanism ...He can't even do so without calling us racists I'm sorry, but that is terribly redundant. Racism is explicitly one of these premises.
I AM NOT A RACIST, YOU EGG-SUCKING-DOG-LIBERAL-SOCIALIST.
Whew, have to get that out every once in a while. One ugly, but sanity-preserving, side effect of southern congeniality/politeness/hospitality is a periodic outburst ...

As with Pearl Jam(or should that be Blix Spread), the Dixie chicks, and ole' Dave it is free speech so long as they control the content. But when someone else points out their stupidity using that same free speech then it is just not fair. Poor Dave may his radio revolt on him and only carry EIB.

Maybe that severed horse head his godfather sent him spooked him. Don't you just hate it when people send you one of those?

I really like Rick Levanthal. He does his job admirably and efficiently. The troops seem to like him. Compare him to Geraldo Rivera who is so full of himself - and by the way, where is he?
