SHEESH!!! Talk about POOR timing for an article! Here is a typical quote:

Now we're stuck in the Iraqi quicksand in a soon-to-be burning desert with guerrillas tearing up our rear, doing unto our troops whatever unconventional fighters did to the French at Moscow, the Germans at Stalingrad, the Americans in Vietnam and Somalia, the Soviets in Afghanistan and the Russians in Chechnya.

Yeah, Hack, the Iraq campaign is some disaster. Today we captured Saddam airport among such "disasters." Perhaps Hackworth can try to escape the humiliation for being so wrong in this article by claiming it was just an April Fools joke. Just look at the date it was published.

In mathematical terms: credibility(hack) = 0

This guy so pulled my chain with this piece of bovine feces that I went to his web page and sent him this email:

"Re "Stuck in the Quicksand" - This latest example of your poisonpenmanship is disgusting, and timed perfectly to show the world that you have finally really lost all touch with reality. You owe President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Defense Secretary Rumsfeld and our soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen a really big apology for getting all of your prognostications about this war in Iraq so wrong.

Me thinks you are the one stuck, but it is not in quicksand, it looks more like slime. Your rantings leave you allied with the likes of the Jane you say you hate from a previous time. You sound like you want our side to loose. We hereby christen you with your new name - Hackworthless. Enjoy it, you deserve it!"

Now you know why Hack only made it to Colonel. He was a great tactical soldier, but a piss-poor stratigist.

When the 48 hour countdown began for Sadaam to either leave or face our wrath, Hack was about the only commentator who stated that Sadaam would leave. I don't know how Hackworth stays published and keeps getting his face on the air. He is wrong so often that it's become laughable.

Well, leave it to me to say ony eatsy-weensy little nice comment about Hackworth...then I'll go away quitly...

Hackworth is awesome when it comes to tactics. Probably one of the best there ever was. Sadly, he's no strategist, but then everyone has their weaknessess. More importantly, he doesn't seem to have a clue when it comes to the topic of international relations. That's an area where he's as dumb as sh*t.

Also, when Hackworth errs, it's ALWAYS on the side of protecting our troops. This may not always be visible in some of his rants, but there's no one in the past few years who have concerned themselves more with quality of life and quality equipment for our boys in arms. NO ONE. The only person who has done more isn't even a person, it's the FREE REPUBLIC.

As for me, I was quite upset at how the Pentagon decided to fight this war. Now I'm just a little upset. Believe or not, the brass REALLY DID make some stupid mistakes in the early days that were 100% preventable. But, I will the generals credit in that they have seen the errors of there ways, and are doing a great job bringing this war to a quick & speedy conclusion.

The only time I've actually heard Hack say anything regarding this war, was one night, about three or four days after D-day, when he was on Sean Hannity's radio show. He was very, very supportive of the troops and the generals, and if he had any criticisms of how things were going, he kept them to himself.

Personally, I hope Hackworth keeps up his criticisms of the Pentagon, whether they are deserved or not. The Pentagon has screwed-over American troops on far more than one occassion, and though they seem to be on the ball at this PARTICULAR POINT IN TIME, that does not mean they always will be. Just wait until Hillary is elected...

O.K., that's all...carry on....

Poor Hack is delusional, utterly without class, and needs to be distempered...as in rabid dog.

Like so many others, he has now completely shredded any credability, that he ever had. Ego and envy are two very destructive emotions.

I'm beginning to wonder if Hackworth, Arnett, and Michael Moore are part of a sophisticated disinformation scheme to convince the Iraqis that they're winning. In Panama we blasted Noriega et al with rock music to mess up his mind. Perhaps the CIA has a subliminal feed of these guys into Iraqi TV to mess up Saddam. Then again, all Saddam has to do to be misinformed is to watch his pet network, CNN.
