There has been a significant shift of support for President Bush among Jews in the United States as a result of the war against terrorism and Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq, pollsters and Jewish leaders say.

Jews have long been one of the Democratic Party's most loyal political constituencies. But the growing likelihood that the war in Iraq will eliminate one of Israel's regional enemies, perhaps leading to positive changes in the Middle East, has helped Republicans make inroads into the Jewish vote, a leading Jewish clergyman says.

It is folly to think of Jews in America as a homogenous population...

Some of the most virulent leftists, Marxists and communists in America are Jews...
They will always vote Democrat, Green, Communist or anything but Republican...

I suspect that any Jew that would support Bush, was already doing so ---- before the war against Iraq..

No, Jews are NOT a homogenious group. Just as mislabled Hispanics, are NOT a homogenious group. That the Dems see them as such, WILL be their downfall. Though blacks vote more in line, with one another, even that group is NOT as much a homogenious voting block, as the Dems wish.

The virulent lefties, no matter what religion ( though most Jews, who are Socialists are NOT religious at all ! ),ethnic group,and / or race, won't change. There are fewer and fewer of them and their progeny; thankfully.

This is good news, could be significant in specific districts in a few states, but wait, this is just a "maybe" kind of story at best. Maybe Jewish voters have figured out President Bush doesn't lie to them, and maybe they will decide to vote for him.

But all the while, all over the country, in every district, in every state, Democrats are registering black voters in huge numbers at church services, in schools, and in inner city neighborhoods. For certain, black voters will vote against President Bush in 2004.

There's a big difference between a true Jew and a leftist, socialist Jew. Since being a Jew has nothing to do with ethnicity but with religious faith and practice, a socialist Jew whose god is the state and not the God of Israel is a Jew in name only.

Guilt

Some people would add "Guilt" to the conversational mix, in trying to explain why Jews became predominantly Democrats. Consider the waves of Jews who immigrated to America over the decades. They made it! Done good, some would say they made achieving "The American Dream", first in their lives, over their heritage, over their religion. Because of that, they harbor some kind of perpetual personal guilt, and they become Democrats to lessen it. You know the party rhetoric: "We care about people. We feel their pain, we care about the downtrodden, we think the government should take care of poor people..."blah blah blah. Makes sense doesn't it, that taking that to heart, would make you feel oh so good about yourself, and less sad that you had surrendered your religion, your culture, your roots,
to succeed, and to "fit in",

The Democrats have always wanted a multicultural/multiracial society....a society in which not one single race is over 50%....in such a society, a despot like Hitler would not be able to rise and come to power.
