"Let's leave them in peace. No, let THEM leave US in peace. I'm so sick of this phony "kidknapping" story I could throw a brick through the television every time I see any member of this extremely wierd family doing their little tapdance for the media.
This was a simple runaway-kid story from the beginning, and the family all KNREW it- why do you think they had such touching "Faith" that their little harp-playing angel was still alive?
Sorry- grumpy this morning.

People like you make me embarrassed to be part of this forum. Only seeing the worst and rather believe that a little girl would willingly run away with two middle-aged freaks than stay with the family that loves her. I'm not going to get sucked into this again with some of you, because I just feel sorry for you and the experiences in your life that would make you believe that the little girl is the bad guy.

I'm so sick of this phony "kidknapping" story..."Phoney"? What is it that YOU know that the rest of us don't?
Oh, nothing, eh?
Why not shut up, then, and stop reminding us of your foolishness?

Makes me think of the story when Elvis, seeing Mel Torme singing on TV put a bullet through it.

I hadn't considered she was a run-away; I am curious what makes you think so?
I would hope that most Americans find the story line as boring as I do. Watching two adults, whose minds are twisted by untreated psychosis, going about their sick little lives, and hijacking the vulnerable mind of a young person, is hardly entertaining--it's cheezy and repulsive and I hope no one watches it. Society surely deserves better from the entertainment media, imo.

Wow....somebody that has the same thought I did. I stated this very thought sometime ago and was flamed big time. Now I know there are two of us out there.

No, let THEM leave US in peace. I'm so sick of this phony "kidknapping" story I could throw a brick through the television every time I see any member of this extremely wierd family doing their little tapdance for the media. Nah, no bricks, man, just shoot up the TV Taxi-Driver style. Sentiments echoed. Retch, puke, blech.

And, as others have said, gee, I just can't see any reason she'd want to run away from a family like THIS. Now they're acting as her pimps. Wonderful. Touching. I wonder who will play her in the TV movie (*puke*). Maybe Christopher Walken can do the dad. Would be fitting.
Sorry- grumpy this morning.
Heh, grumpy all the time, and this one is a pet peeve of mine. So many kids go missing. This family played the media like a fiddle after lying and expending valuable taxpayer resources, and now they're going to kick back and get rich off of a story that's -- weird and disturbing at best. Whore the daughter out for cash.
One last *retch*, and Dear God, if there's any chance left of this poor & confused girl growing up normally, throw her a lifeline, or at least a bone, PLEASE, she needs it.

This was a simple runaway-kid story from the beginning Maybe the family is looking to control the movie when it comes out, so some a$$hole like you does not change the story and claim that Elizabeth ran away with a child molester while chaining herself to a tree for two months.

I think you've been a simpleton from the beginning.
