Just because they opposed the war doesn't mean they deserve to lose their citizenship. Misguided and willfully ignorant, yes, but treasonous, no.

These pictures I've been seeing make me wonder how anyone could argue that this is an unjust war.

The people who call this war "illegal", "unjust", "immoral", and "illegitimate" are more than just anti-American. If they were solely anti-American, they could still feel joy at seeing these oppressed, brutalized people finally liberated and able to step out into the sunlight without fear. But they are more than just anti-American. They are evil, and that's the bottom line. This war is being fought against evil, and they have chosen to oppose the war because they support the evil we are fighting against. Those who support evil and condemn good are evil themselves.

Is Pat Buchanan evil? Or perhaps just misguided?

There were some reasonable anti-war arguments, but they have all been proven useless by this war of liberation. But using the term evil to describe all who opposed the war, or the way the war was entered into, removes the possibility of intelligent discussions about future issues. "How can we talk to the evil?" I'd prefer to just say they were wrong.

I think the most powerful pictures here are the last one and the little girl holding the American flag. They say everything in a nutshell. The little girl puts to shame every single anti-American socialist everywhere on the planet, and the man in the last photo is thanking God he is finally free from bondage.

Are you one of those who believe evil doesn't exist? If so, there's no point discussing anything with you. And I'm not going to discuss anything with you because I'm not going to allow a disruptive argument to take away from the purpose and impact of this thread and the photos in it. Look, I was in favor of this war from the start. Saddam needed to go. These pictures, the chemical weapons evidence, the Iraqi people rising up, all of this serves to justify my opinion more. But if someone actually believed that the war was going to do more harm than good, they are misguided, perhaps even dumb, but not evil. I repeat, I DO NOT AGREE with them, nor do I think they are evil. And unless Jim Robinson himself tells me to stop trying to be reasonable and discuss current events, I won't stop posting.
