LOVE the picture of W practically hopping off the helicopter upon his return to the White House. Your comments were precisely what I was thinking...home to his lovely Laura!

I once heard Collin Powell say(and I'm paraphrasing here) that we sacrifice our fine men and women for the liberty of strangers and ask nothing of the countries we liberate, except for enough land to bury our dead.

And we haven't even asked for that since WW-II. Instead we've brought them home and buried them here. (I could be wrong about that, I don't know about the practice during the "Forgotten War" in Korea, but if we burried them there, then since the Korean War which "ended" in the early 50s)

What a great day for American and Iraqi people.

President Bush in his State of the Union speech said, "the liberty we prize is not America's gift to the world, it's Gods gift to humanity" Well Mr. President, you have made us all proud and through your resolve and determination an entire nation from the other side of the globe has you and Mr. Blair to thank for their liberty.

Once again America's bravest have made the ultimate sacrifice for the liberty of strangers, hundreds more were injured for the freedom of others. This is a testimony to the greatness of this country and I will be on bended knee in prayer for the families of these brave men and women as well as the safe return of the hundreds of thousands still in harms way.

For all the days of the rest of my life, I will not forget the images of today’s liberation of Iraq, I will never forget the pride I have for our men and women in uniform and I will be forever grateful to George W. Bush for his leadership and calm in these dangerous and testing times.

Tonight as I sit here sharing my thoughts with my good friends here on the "Dose" I am filled with pride for what our great country stands for and the brave men and women who liberated the Iraqi people from the evil that has brutalized them. These soldiers will always have my respect and President Bush will always be my hero
