Shep on journalists shot at hotel: Founding fathers felt we needed freedom of the press so that regular citizens could check up on the government. Those people who are over there have Iraqi minders with them. How different are these minders from the military? These reporters went over there and aer scared for their lives, and who wouldn't be? They are there for you, just like those soldiers, and I pray that they come home safe.

Shep is now using the "journalists in the hotel have minders, we can't believe what they say, so stop emailing me" line.

This may be my last post for awhile, FR is getting too slow to post as it was last night.
I was hoping Shep would make a slip about "Kelly's Heroes" like the Clint Eastwood movie, it was on my mind a lot ealier this week.
In a way the mad dash for Baghdad was just like the movie, and I gues Baghdad Bob is just waiting to make a deal for a couple billion in gold! He knows where the loot is at. LOL

I think some may be hindered but not the ones that go so far over towards the Iraqis. That is there true mindset.

NTV cam keeps showing that I dont have enough bandwidth I get the same thing occasionally, with a solid 2Mbps. Just hammer it -- keep trying, and you'll get in.

Lol! But I think you get my point. Exactly same circumstances.
Or, has it yet been depicted as "collateral" damage by the press?

It was not friendly fire when the two reporters were killed. Our troops were being fired upon by snipers (at least that's the way I've heard it three our of four times). The reporters (God bless their souls) happened to be in the way.
This is a war. It's dangerous to be in Baghdad, and all the reporters that are not embedded with the troops are in danger.

They were shot up because they changed their designated route and were mistaken for the enemy. but . . . but . . . but . . .
There COULD have been secret communication equipment, couldn't there?
C'mon, Howlin! It's too late in the evening for me to find a new conspiracy. What am I going to fantasize about when it's time for bed?

These folks are flocking into the country any way they can on a mission to die. We are going to have to enact some serious border control, or it will be non stop suicide attacks for a while. I have no problem with those Islamakazis jumping into the meat grinder no matter where they are from. Let's take care of business so we don't have to go back for a spell.

Shep is acting bizarre tonight! Is he under the influence of something?Yeah, high ratings.

Try turning your computer off for a few minutes, don't forget to clean the cache....and give it another try.
Or, be REALLY SMART and get a good night's sleep?

They appreciate the males agility but are probably extremely jealous of the males "firm buns". hmmmmm . . .
Guess I could use an evening out after all.

I know (and agree), but I wanted to post that because almost every display of flags has them out of order and the service members might feel slighted.

That PLO training camp discovery is very significant. FoxNews was reporting that it is the size of Camp Pendleton. Now I was stationed at Pendleton and that is a very large base. Takes about a half hour to drive from one end to the other and that's at highway speed on I-5.
