I have a question about our flag.

I understand that we aren't supposed to fly it over conquered territory in Iraq because we want to be seeensitive and not intiiiimidate the locals.

But it seems like the leftists are taking that to mean that we are supposed to HIDE our flag. They took exception to our guy draping it over the grand saddomite's face yesterday. A reported at the CENTCOM briefing asked if steps are being taken to ensure that the flag is not displayed any more -- to which Gen. Renuart said we WILL display the flag on our facilities. But it seems to be turning into a church/state type debate, and I say if the left doesn't want us to show our flag they can go straight to HELL. It's not the Iraqis that are complaining, it's these damned liberals.

Seems like we ought to do something about that.

More from Major Garrett. Military inspection team is now on the site. Second tests confirm the presence of highlevels of radiation consistent with WMD. Pentagon didn't know much about this early this morning, but now have a team on the site.

Villagers are willing to show Marines hiding places of things which they were NOT willing to show to UN inspectors, for fear of Saddam. They trust the Marines.

--Brian captured an Iraqi general himself at a checkpoint. A man trying to get through a checkpoint that they had set up to allow civilians to leave didn't look right to Brian. Brian searched his stuff and found a very ornately engraved plated pistol. The man insisted that he was just a farmer. Brian wasn't having it, so he called over his battalion intelligence officer who actually is a farmer (his battalion is made up of reservists). The farmer/intel officer said, "Show me your hands." Upon seeing the general's silky smooth hands, he said, showing his own hands, "Those aren't farmers hands; THESE are farmer's hands!" They handcuffed the general who proceeded to bawl like a little girl as they carried him away. Brian later learned that the pistol engravings indicated that it was a gift from Saddam. [PLEASE tell me that he's bringing home that pistol!]
