And, curiously, the one picture that was on the internet showing the damage to the outside of the hotel has been pulled.

Is that the one where it showed some of the building missing right under or next to the balcony? I bet someone has it saved. I didn't think it looked too much like tank damage either.

Hey, MM!

Check out my post #1335 when you have a chance & let me know what you think. I'm buried in tax filings right now, but will be checking back in a couple of hours.

I really appreciate the care taken in the reporting of this possible find by FNC. They consistently use the words 'may be', 'cautious', and 'possible'.

At least one other news network is reporting this as a 'sure' find. If this find turns out to be nothing, this other network can then place BLAME where none should exist..on the military and the government.

This other network consistently plays this 'blame game' when it is their own reporting that is the actual culprit.

I used to do it from just over 500 feet up (1400 feet above sea level). You are simulating looking for a landing spot before an emergency landing or maneuvering near an airport where you need to see the ground real well. You pick a point (pretty house, barn, etc.) and keep it in the middle of the circle, bank your wings, lift the nose and add a touch of power to avoid losing altitude... it's amazing how I can hear my instructor's voice after 15 years...)

Do you know if they (?) caught the suspected assasin(s)?

The reports didn't indicate any arrests.

At Ari's briefing today that was Terry Moran's chief concern, too.

I'm not worried in the least, as they have bigger fish to fry and it will get under control in due time.

I wonder if the Terry Morans were this concerned about the looting that went on in Seattle when the nutty people were protesting against capitalists? Or the looting that went on in San Francisco with the anti-war protesters?

Or the looting that went on in Los Angeles during the Rodney King inspired race riots? Bet they weren't.

As more of the WMD facilities are discovered, etc., perhaps Janeane Garofalo can get some of her Hollyweird associates to join with her on her knee trek across broken to the White House.

War wounds can be awful.

I know that's true. But doesn't it seem like there are an awful lot of really heated firefights that end and the stats are like 20 wounded, 1 killed? Is that typical? Because I've been thinking it says some really good things about our body armor.

Or the looting that went on in Los Angeles during the Rodney King inspired race riots? Bet they weren't.

That is EXACTLY what I said to my husband this morning when I was describing this line of questioning. I said these reporters harping on the looting seem much more concerned than they ever were during LA.

I heard the same thing on the radio at lunch time and also heard that they are being sold on Ebay with bids up to $40 (because people think they are going to become collector items).

Hey now......I have a Mazda MPV 4x4....and it is a member of the family. She even has a name. So go easy on the "mazda" references. :-)
