France needs to take a flying leap!! I hope our Prez doesn't let them near Iraq or any business deals within. The sooner we get a temporary government in place, the better, then they will NOT need the U.N. or anyone else for that matter!

I wonder if there are still reporters staying in that hotel. Gee, they could offer to let the soldiers & Rick Leventhal take a shower, since Rick says he hasn't had one in over 4 weeks!!!

On the way home from my 16-hour drive today, I was listening to any radio station that carried Iraq news (I only have AM radio for some reason, so it was slim pickins in the rural areas).
Anyway, one of the talk show dudes said "Sure France, Germany, and Russia can help with the rebuilding of Iraq. They can donate food, medical supplies, and other needed products. And they can all forgive Iraq's debts. That's how they can HELP."

Falling in to monitor day 22, hello all. :-)
Man, I can't believe that yesterday was the first day I was able to really get on the live op. thread and WHAT A DAY IT WAS! I hope I bring a little more of that random dharmic luck with me today, ayuh, ayuh.
Tangent: If you're feeling too upbeat about everything today and need a little grounding and re-orienting, a little tempering of the jubilation, nothing works better than a stop by
http://www.michaelmoore.com ... have your barf bag ready.
Okay, let me catch up, was busy discussing talking MOABs on another thread. Anyway, heyo to all the usual suspects. :-)

Oh, man, thank you and others for bringing up the "cache" pronunciation issue...was driving me nuts. :p Or rather the snotty English major part of me, heh, the same part that still would REALLY like His Kickassness-in-Chief to say "nuclear" correctly just *once*...

Good morning. Out of respect for the Iraqis' liberation yesterday, I did not post my daily attention grabber for Fox News. So, pardon me while I yell a little bit.
Hey Fox News, you would own the hearing impaired demographic if you were to provide 24/7 around the clock closed captioning. Think about it!

You raise an excellent point, and I've noticed it on Fox before -- it's not just a boon to the hearing impaired, but to those of us who have multiple screens up and are monitoring different things simultaneously...I *love* CC, even though my hearing is fine. You should mail them about this!

Any whiskey going around? I know two things the Marines and Iraqis both want: Whiskey and cigarettes (and, a close third..."wild wild women"). :-)
