Some of the pictures I've seen of the country are beautiful. I bet it would be an outstanding vacation spot for a host of reasons, first and foremost, historical sites.

Of course, there's a lot of work to be done before that can happen!

While Kent the Pigeon was meeting his maker, REAL MEN were rescuing some lambs from a muddy canal near the Baghdad airport:

Spec. Matthew Manzano, left, and Spec David Beebe, right work to free a baby sheep from a mud trench at a palace near Baghdad. The Soldiers were able to save 4 of the sheep from the mud but 2 had already died while try to get out.

Funny coincidance Fox and Freinds asked Rick what kind of dog, German Shepard, mutt or puppy .....ate Kent the Pidgeon.

Anyone who hasn't read the article about the nuclear facility should do it... it's an eye opener. Excerpt:

A few hundred meters outside the complex, where peasants say the "missile water" is stored in mammoth caverns, the Marine radiation detectors go "off the charts."

"It's amazing," said Chief Warrant Officer Darrin Flick, the battalion's nuclear, biological and chemical warfare specialist. "I went to the off-site storage buildings, and the rad detector went off the charts. Then I opened the steel door, and there were all these drums, many, many drums, of highly radioactive material."

Sky is doing a very interesting interview with a member of INC. He's talking about the transfer of power to Iraqis, need for decentralized government within constitutional framework.

Kay Burley tried to bait him about seeing the American flag covering Saddam's statue. He wouldn't go there and talked instead about US and Britain shepherding the transition and not staying beyond that. Allowing Iraqis to shape their own government...hopes for constitutional framework and not through militia.

He's going back to be part of reconstruction. EXCELLENT!
