NEW YORK (AP) -- Lawyers who say Iraq helped plan the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing want the Iraqi U.N. ambassador to testify in the matter -- but say they worry he will soon flee the United States.

The lawyers asked a federal judge Thursday to force Iraqi ambassador Mohammed Al-Douri to testify. The judge did not immediately rule but scheduled a hearing for next week.

More showboating by LK.

He cannot force an ambassador to be deposed, it is a violation of the Vienna Convention.

This ambassador is duly accredited to the UN, and I am sure that the Dept of State's view will be to tell the Judge, no way Jose.

It's nothing to do with this ambassador, but the US doesn't want its own ambassadors dragged into courts around the world.
