LOL. On this note of true confession...

I told my husband last night at what point we are going into lock down...He agreed. He almost seemed gleeful when he asked "At what point can I stop going to work"?

I said don't look too excited, it might come down to that.

I know I probably sound like a lunatic but I really don't want my kids to catch this thing. And I really don't want to catch it when all the hospitals are full or closed.

I have thought of keeping a diary. Sorta like lunch with X at Z restaurant Y was our waiter and the date. Grocery store on April 5th Jan was at the checkout. Met A,B,C for lunch... That way I would have dates and places and not have to think back was I there in the last 10 days.

"And I really don't want to catch it when all the hospitals are full or closed."

If you're that convinced that we're all gonna be exposed then, isolation only equals delay, right?

So, lol, here's the plan:
Before all the medical facilities are overwhelmed, deliberately have yourself infected now while you can get the most and best medical care and perhaps develop some immunity...huh?

Btw, let me know how the plan works out. (Hee, hee)

Better yet, after I infect myself, I'll hop on a plane (not unlike most of the others, eh?) and I'll personally come over and we can discuss how I feel over a beer, face to face-up close and personal-so to speak... Cough....sputter...aaaaachooo

Well, I have four dogs and we wouldn't want to give it to them, so, just send an email.
I haven't heard one word about it's effect on animals, have you?

I knew I had read something about a name:

"Because of the death of Dr. Carlo Urbani during the investigation of the initial SARS epidemic, the authors propose that the virus be named Urbani SARS-associated coronavirus. However, this proposal is unlikely to be sustained because the "Rules for Naming Viral Taxa" used by the International Committee on Virus Taxonomy state that: "No person's name shall be used when devising names for new taxa."  Read this yesterday.

I think they calculated the economic effect. The population issue is on the forefront for them and the expansion is a longterm goal. Also they probably see our being economically hurt as a boon and worth the relatively minor cut they take.

Forget burial insurance. There will be mass cremation.

"will the virus survive until you unwrap the item?"

You must be a mind reader! Once this concern hits the public eye, Walmart and Kmart will go down the tubes if they don't cut all imports immediately.

Made in the USA will be the ONLY way!

At least we can still laugh. I was over at our pediatrician's office today and I could tell without even mentioning a word, just from the look on her face, how this is weighing upon her. We've just got to pray that the vaccine is produced quickly.

And then we've got to make sure we don't *have* to import anything...time to make the microchips again!

OOoooh good idea. I hadn't thought of that angle. I was thinking more along the lines of savings and 401k. Now, I am thinking..1. Liquidate assets, bury in pvc pipe in backyard 2. Max out credit cards on essentials. Now yer thinking...
