You'd think Ted could afford some whitening toothpaste.

You have just described a NEWS organization that would allow murder, rape and torture just so they can have ACCESS to report the news EXCEPT FOR THE MURDER RAPE OR TORTURE. Your equivication and relativism is very telling.

Jordan's mea culpa - "I felt awful having these stories bottled up inside me," he wrote

I think Jordan was given a heads-up that people were talking and that he and CNN were going to be exposed. This "mea culpa" is strictly a preemptive stike - - damage control. I am waiting for the rest of the story. There's more to come.

Also, look for the liberals to begin an anal exam of Fox. There is nothing they want more than to pin something on Fox. Fortunately, that will be difficult to do since Fox has not been a player for very long.

Ask yourself why Mr. Eason chose NOT to inform the United States government when, at that very same time, WE were debriefing those men and getting the information about suspected weapons sites in Iraq.

Ask yourself how close Eason had to be to Uday for Uday to feel confident enough to discuss his future plans with Eason, obviously be assured he had no need to worry about the plans being devulged.

Ask youself what CNN would do if the Bush administration called them into the White House and set limits on what they could and could not report, reminding them if they didn't play along, they would be banned from any and all government proceedings/press conferences.

Did you read his editoral? I don't think this guy was whistleblowing anything. It sounded more like he was patting himself on the back.

Actually, I thought the whole article might have been written because CNN is afraid that now that Hussein is gone, "something" might turn up -- in writing -- that proves how complicit they were/are.

Can we now trumpet the fact that these "children dying because of sanctions" crap was just that. All of the networks kissed up to Iraq on that one if they wanted to stay in Baghdad. This was the main accusation hurled at us by other mid-east Arabs. And we all know how concerned suicide-bomb-promoting Arabs are about the suffering of innocent children.

And they weren't there to REPORT the news, they were broadcasting Saddam's propaganda for him. They even admit they weren't reporting news.

"There is a journalistic ethic about reporting the news. Whatever it is, wherever you find it, and regardless of the consequences.

It is a compulsion. Good journalists all have it. Good news organizations all have it. It isn't something that you compromise."

Unless you are "America's most trusted source of news," that is.
