[history]
Physicians and sleep disorder clinics in the Twin Cities area have been seeing more patients worried enough about the war in Iraq that they can't sleep.
"I've been surprised about the number of calls from parents of 17-year-olds who said their child is worried about the war and potentially being drafted," said Connie Ullevig, a nurse at the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center at Hennepin County Medical Center.

For an area with such tough winters, you'd think they'd be a heck of a lot less "touchy feely".

I've had sleep problems during the war too.
I'd turn over at 2:30am and debate taking a quick peek at the TV.
TV usually won.

I believe that it's unfair of you to paint everyone with the same brush. There are many causes for sleep disorder and it isn't like the person can just switch it on and off. It's totally involuntary.

You kidding? I don't know what I'm going to watch now. I was sort of broken up when they started running commercials again after the first few days.
My friends are all just about worse than I am - most of the people I know can tell you the names of reporters, what units they're with, how the units advanced, what equipment was being used, etc. And those are a mixed bunch of Dems and Pubs, usually not serious about the news.

I've had sleep problems during the war too. I'd turn over at 2:30am and debate taking a quick peek at the TV. Same here on the West Coast. Early to bed and early to rise gave you live coverage of major events happening while it was still daylight in Iraq.

For me, it's been hard to sleep with the TV turned on 24 hours to check the status of our young men overseas.

I'm having sleep problems allright; not getting ENOUGH of it! I'm not WORRIED about the war, just a news junkie! What with FOXNews and other going 24/7, I'm afraid I'll miss something! LOL!
Actually I missed the early news flashes of the discovery of the 7 POWs the other day because I had gotten to sleep at 3 am, woke up about 5:30, and these 7 were very heavy on my mind. I just prayed for their safety and deliverance and drifted back to sleep about 7. I didn't turn on the TV cause I didn't want to wake Sir SuziQ. I'm glad I didn't, cause I would have STAYED up to find out more about their release! I needed that extra sleep, and I found out about them when I dragged it out about 10:30!

The article needs to blame the Democrats. They raised the issue of the draft.

That mother should be worried that her son is so dumb that he thinks there's a draft.
To: Cagey
One of the things I learned early on in my time in service was the ability to sleep anywhere, anytime.
