Morning, everyone. You'll have to excuse me, I'm somewhat of a late riser! ;) College habits die hard.

Stephanie, look at our calendar at post 5! Billie and I have been marvelling how it's just perfect for your "liberalism in academia" concerns. We didn't *create* it -- there's a website that gives us a page each day. It's often eerie how much it matches the profilee.

Hobsonphile is one of the conservative chicks that cause me to Freep.

Aw, shucks. I'm no Ann Coulter. ;)

Good morning!

The weather is beautiful up here (yonder). I'm 45 minutes further north than Dahlonega...in the big hills. :)

Well, thank God for your infantry habits, because my peripheral vision is notoriously bad, especially if I'm speaking to someone one on one (my prefered method of encountering protestors).

Good morning.

It's always heartening to know young people are conservative too. I guess I'm now officially not young, now that I've met Stephanie and she says Reagan is a matter of "history" and not experience for her. Sigh!

LOL!

I do in fact have some memories of the first Gulf War, however. IIRC, that was the year FrustratedCitizen broke his arm- the Navy doctor who set his arm ended up going to the Middle East. I remember putting a care package together for him with the all important M&M's. :) I also remember my sixth grade social studies class had a current events project that was pretty much dominated by the war. Dad was stationed in New London that year- after the war, he was assigned to Bremerton, Washington, and I made my first cross country trip in the car!

Thank you,wolfie! I tried to think of everything we're 'about', and that pretty much sums it up.

God Bless Our Military

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Below are names of some of our FReepers' loved ones who are serving our country. If you have someone you would like to add, please address a post to Billie; Daisyscarlett; Dansangel; Dutchess; Mama_Bear; and we will add their name to this list. As we pray for them, we pray also for all our nation’s leaders, and military personnel, and their families and friends. May God hold them close to His heart.
~~~~~~~~~~   ~~~~~~~~~~

We ask Lord, that You guide the leaders of our great country in their hour of decision. The burden that has been placed on their shoulders is overwhelming. We ask that with Your infinite wisdom You guide them gently to the right decisions.
Please give us the strength, Lord, to get through each difficult and devastating day that faces each of us and our country. Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Yeah, but it's also a feminine graphic, and that's good for today! Even though Sauropod's jumped into the thread to protest that he has better legs, LOL.

Good morning, ConservativeMan - thank you. I'm not sure if you're referring to the pledge graphic/John Wayne link.....Joe Brower posted that here a long time ago and said we could use it anytime. :)

Thanks for coming!

Boston crowds can be tough -- we're talking hockey fans.

You're confusing your groups. Hockey fans are the ones that are on OUR side of the street. The average college aged, unwashed, brainwashed, WWP-pinko either has no money to afford hockey tickets or wouldn't waste their precious allowance on such a violent/racist game. Hockey is a working-man's sport--thus conservative.
