He asked for your number because he reealized you had convictions, honor and integrity.
'Conservatism' is almost what your parents taught you as a kid, to do right, to work, to fend for yourself, and when it is found in a person when you are pursuing, you see stability, character, and faithfulness.
By the way, I live in Connecticut, want to go to Church with me?...(sigh)

If sexual compatibility is the equation then you are in a world of hurt.
What happens if the male becomes dysfunctional and CAN'T use viagra?
What if the female has a hysterectomy and her sex drive is seriously diminished? What if one of you becomes a paraplegeic?
What if the woman gets seriously ill and can't have sex and can't please the male due to sickness?
Sex is not the center of the world nor the center of marriage. It is an integral part, but not an overriding part. After all, God made you sexually compatible from the start. If you want something more than this, then maybe you want more then God has given.

>>I'd date women in their thirties, but most of those who are single have mental problems.
Well, some do. Most just have put their career first and are just now ready to get married in their 30's. Others were stupid and gave away the milk and wondered why their boyfriends never asked them to get married.

Are you from Culver City? BH?

Give her time, and she'll kill one of your babies when times are rough.
It's stupid, IMO, to marry someone who is pro-abortion. Can you really trust them not to abort your child? Maybe during the good times, but not during the bad times. And she could do it behind your back.

Hehe. Thanks quack. I'm looking, but in all the wrong places it seems. And all the good freeper guys live too far away.

This guy sounds like a complete maroon. Why would a conservative man want to date/marry a feminst-liberal-democrat woman in the first place? Who wants someone who's going to go out and abort his child, for instance?
There are a LOT of young conservative women out there - if men know where to look. Go to church. Go work for Republican candidates and meet the women campaign workers. Get involved with the pro-life movement.
Lying or attempting to deceive someone about one's political views is reprehensible. What kind of a relationship can be built on deceit? This guy sounds like he would be a loser with women *regardless* of politics.

There is no substitute for class... If the girl is conserative and can cook...Ba Da Bing... My eldest daughter will be going on the market in a couple of years. She's conservative/libertarian (fan of Ayn Rand), can cook, is a competant shot with rifle and pistol, and has gifted-level IQ. Unfortunately for you guys out there, she's currently 14 and she doesn't get to date until 16

Opus Dei is not really the place to go for singles on the prowl. They work hard to recruit single members to take holy orders under Opus Dei authority, or to become "numerary" members (lay people who nevertheless live communally and take what amounts to vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience). People who are already married go through entirely different channels of "supernumerary" recruitment.

Sure it is. You just have to catch them before they join!! They hold many functions and you can meet many people this way.
However, you might have better luck with Regnum Christi. Many more single women who aren't consecrated.

This is an interesting thread! I wish I had seen it earlier.
I don't really agree with everything the author of the article says. I don't think you can just leave politics out and expect things to go well. If you just want a quick date, sure, but if you'd like to develop a friendship, you're going to need to actually agree on some things :-)
And trust me, I know how hard it is... I'm a single guy... living in San Francisco :-p
As others have said, the best thing to do is to go places where like minded people will go. (I agree that church is a great place to meet people. But, I'd caution people that if you do that just to meet people, the women will see right through you. I go because I really want to be there, and a great bonus is that I do meet women who are grounded in faith and conservative.)
Still, it's hard in places like the SF Bay area. I feel like a lot of Gen X/Y people (including me) here are sometimes confused about how to date and how it should work. We do less of it than we would all like because no one knows what to expect, and you honestly never know what will offend someone, even in conservative/Christian circles. I have even run into a few women who were offended when I opened a door for them... Is it really too much to ask to let a guy do that now and then? :-)

And, you wouldn't think I was wierd for Freeping, either...those two things right there...
But, I still want someone to go to Church with me, so, I scare most off I guess...(sigh)

WHAT ARE CONSERVATIVE MEN DOING DATING LIBERAL WOMEN when there are conservative women to be had?? personally, i could not date someone that was on such a different page politically. my political beliefs are a huge part of who i am, and i could not submerge that in order to interest a man, and then spring them on him later. And like the author, i would end up mocking him 24/7!
