As of the end of the Day 26 thread we were 3366 shy of 100,000 posts since the start of the Sit Room. At this rate it looks like it will be a couple of days before Poser can go for it.

An F15-Strike Eagle with a crew of 2 went down over Tikrit a couple of days ago. They search for days and placed them as MIA.

I noticed the MIA is down by 2. Anyone know if they found that crew? Where can I go to look?

Thanks.

I don't have to look it up to tell thats not true. Lori Pietwsa is the only female death in this war.

Not sure about that. There've been a LOT of accidents. Are you sure there have been no women dying in accidental fashion?

Yes, Lori... she was so heavy on my heart when captured. I saw the times that her tribe was in prayer & offered her to their "spirits" for protection.

I really grieved when her death was confirmed ....I rather thought it would be the case but I was hoping she might be saved to be a "toy"..

Think it is ZZZZZZZZZZZ time for me.. found a knife which was my wine opener. After giving away my good wine I had left 2 bottles. opened a calif chardonnay (which I don't part like) but it was okay. No wine opener to be found .

naughty cats!??????????

Used a knife. Hmmmmm.. the cork adds a distinctive sensation.

Love you all & really appreciate your knowledge & sharing. It is a good thing, isn't it?

(what!!!!!!! is your definition of love?)

Mine fits what I wrote.

Actually, after years of reading some rather 'off the wall' comments, I decided to respond to one. He's kinda like a fixture around here. You know, something ya gotta grin and bear to be here?

Seriously, he HAS made a couple of good comments. Few and far between, but good nonetheless. He's generally just a rabblerouser. He's great for sh|ts and grins.

Yes, Lori... she was so heavy on my heart when captured.

Her brother served as spokesman for her family and did a fine job. I was always impressed when he spoke.

Rick Levanthal on live with Shep showing video he and his camera guy taped earlier of a raid.

Two men worked for Saddam. They were Intell officers who were responsable for handling POWs that belonged to Iraqis. They both had 'attitude'.

You obviously have maturity. We all have our good days & bad days. It is nice to have this forum when we have our "bad days" we wont be totally castigated. It is good to know we can "unload" & our friends will understand, comment appropriately (put us in our place, educate, affirm etc)... the males I have noted have some more tension along this line. Probably understandable with the long hours, tension of war & LIFE that is present for all of us.

I appreciate how gently you all help esp the younger participants to this thread. I cannot fanthom the maturity of the high school participants !!!

At that age , well, I was a space cadet!!!! BIG TIME

They are looking for Ba'ath party officials. Major John Kirkpatrick talking. Says they are secret police. Going to question them.

Had about 100 Marines involved in the raid.

watching a video thread of Leventhal on a raid....

Shepard Smith has the family here in stiches. We think Shep needs some sleep he is getting pretty rummy.

I was just watching about Udai and his porno collection, booze and herion.

I mentioned early on that I wondered how he could be so evil the guy was wasted off his arse thats how. Just as I suspected.

Wow did you guys see those gold plated guns. The shame of it all is the creep was even hoarding the UNICEF care packages for children.

I will be REALLY ticked if the U.S. pays any debts left behind from SH Regime.

In case anybody has been wondering what has been going on elsewhere in Iraq.

WHERE THE TROOPS AREN'T:
* The U.S. military says it controls most of Iraq, but the truth is that military action has focused on major urban areas. Now commanders are turning their attention to other parts of the country.

Hundreds of towns simply sat out the war and remain inaccessible. Relief workers consider it a good sign that refugees are not streaming from them, but what's happening is unsure.

Marine Maj. Brad Bartelt, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command, said he could not say much about what the military knew of areas outside its control because of security issues. But Bartelt did say coalition forces are relying both on scouts on the ground and tips from civilians for guidance.

Not that I know of. I live in Arizona, though in a different city than Lori, but local news was very good about giving extensive coverage to our state losing one of its finest daughters, so that is how I came to see her brother.

Even after it was confirmed she was dead, her brother said she loved her country and said how proud they were of all the troops and their prayers would continue to be offered for them.
