Studying more than 100,000 people, Yale researcher Marianne LaFrance has discovered that women smile more than men.
Smiling is, in fact, our "default" face. We smile just because our face is on "on." The no-smile is a man's auto-program face.

We get mammograms, they get Viagra
A non-sequiter substituting for analysis.
"We get mammograms, they get Viagra"
As a prostate cancer survivor, I did not find that particularly funny either.
A more accurate comparison would be -
We get mammograms, they get prostate exams.
So what. Life's like that. Some things are uncomfortable. But it beats not finding breast or prostate cancer until it's Stage IV.
My dad's a prostate cancer survivor too. Best of luck to you. We'll go on dealing with real life while people like this idiot woman waste their time feeling sorry for themselves.
ROFLMAO!!! Oh man, I have tears rolling down my cheeks after that one!! : )
Our smiles are shouting: Don't take us seriously. Walk all over us! You look tired. Can I make you a nice sandwich? This is bizarre. People usually smile when they are happy. This woman seems to quite literally want women to smile less, and be less happy, so that they can make more money and run more fortune 500 companies.. . . . .
Well, I think we are making a mistake doing all this smiling.
And they call this womens liberation? How ideologically bankrupt can they get?

OOOHHHHHHHHHHH HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! That's got to be qoute of the day material.
They are crazy that's why they smile.
"Its not the dress that makes you look fat, its the FAT that makes you look fat."
Walk up to her as she's simply going about her business, perhaps engrossed in thought, and bellow,"SMILE!!!" at her. Or maybe "witty" variation on it, like, "Come on, smile-it can't be that bad" or "Who died?"
Even Florence King once wrote a long column about men who do that to women, and how often it happened to her when she was younger. To judge from a long and heated online discussion we had over ona different website, this is a pretty common thing for women: Having complete strangers feel free to tell you what facial expression they're allowed to have in public.
I *think* this article is trying to make the point that women smile 'too much', and they do it not because they're happy , but because they think they 'have to' as part of being a 'people pleaser'. Or something like that. Actually, I can't figure out if the article is serious or not.
I wonder if this wo-man has ever given birth? It was by far the most joyous time in my life (amidst all the screaming and pain), to see that small miracle emerge wide eyed and ready to take on the world. This somehow is supposed to compare to a golf course? How???
