Yeah, and what do you think the PLO office is doing? just sitting around? or mapping out the city when the time is right for a terrorist attack.

By your logic, you would say it would be ok to have a North Korean embassy here?

Futhermore, its not just about that. Its also about the fact the government recognizes the PLO as some sort of government. They are not a government, but a terrorist organization.

I agree. This is unconscionable to me for Bush to do this. Sometimes you simply have to stand on your principles. Besides, I don't buy that this is some kind of brilliant logistical move. I think it's appeasement for the sake of maintaining the pretense that peace is possible, that this "roadmap" is going to work. It's not going to work. It cannot possibly work because the Palestinians' goal has been, is, and will always be the utter destruction of Israel, period. For anyone who doesn't believe this, just do a bit of digging. You'll find that they state it openly and unequivocally on a very regular basis.

This is a bad move on Bush's part.

Are you sure we dont? We had Communist Chineese and Soviet embassies during the height of the Cold War.
