This is my rifle..this is my gun..
Well, anyway, Jimmy Caahhtur wouldn't know which end to hold.

This article once again points out the neverending saga of what happens when tyranny is not faced "immediately".

Carter is lucky Clinton became president, so people could say they were both incompetent, but at least Carter told the truth. Of course, Carter in his own way was just as dishonest as Clinton. In their disdain for America they were both alike. So the real question is whether it is better to be a boor like Clinton, or a twit like Carter.

A perceptive editorial, IMO.

Reminds us of what has been forgotten. W is trying to undo the damage, much to the horror of the Left.

Still need to recall that Nobel prize from the peanut farmer. This also explains why clintoon used carter to negotiate that absurd and ridiculous treaty with North Korea early in clintoon's administration. Neither clintoon nor carter knew their butt from a hole in a ground about foreign policy.

We supplied him with a massive arms buildup, which apparently included chemical, and perhaps even biological, weapons.

Except the U.S. contribution to Iraq's military purchases over the past 30 years has amounted to about 1% of the total, barely anything, let alone massive. Russia (57%), France (~13%), and China (~13%) made up the bulk.

Jimmy Carter...not a wise man. Getting older, should be getting wiser...appears to be getting less wise. I voted for him but back then there was so much I didn't know or understand. He seems to have an "aura" that obscures the truth of who he is and what he stands for like being known as a Baptist Sunday school teacher. What he even has been saying about the Southern Baptists is very unorthodox. Thank God for giving us Reagan when people like me didn't know what we were doing.

Thanks tailgunner Joe. Good read. Carter led a failed administration some of the failures we're still paying fo today. Why anyone pays attention to him I'll never understand.

This article once again points out the neverending saga of what happens when tyranny is not faced "immediately".

It also points out the inherent dangers of a representative republic which makes it possible to elect a total nincompoop to an office of such immense power as the president.

I read a long time ago, but have never seen since, that Iran had ordered and paid for a large quantity of American jet fighters. Carter decided a) to not deliver the jets, and b) to not give Iran their money back. That would have pissed off anybody. Where in the bible did Carter read you could do that and everything would work out ok? That nuclear submarine must have irradiated his common sense. I wonder if Iran ever got their money back. I bet Reagan settled fairly with them.

Just dawned on me. Where did the Ajatollah Chomeini come from before he ruined Iran?

All right!

I'll admit that Jimmy Carter had me fooled for a long time. No, I didn't vote for him - I believe I pulled the lever for Ed Clark - but I used to go along with people who gave him high marks for being a "humanitarian."

Older and wiser (and better read), I now cut Jimmah no slack. His actions make him either a clueless dumb-ass, a mouthpiece for the VLWC, or simply a very committed socialist with good camouflage; over time, the evidence points to the latter (making him something of a proto-Clinton). A lot of people I talk politics with initially don't understand why I get vehement about the damage President Goober did, but they soon find out.
