Fed's attack Texas church and burn it to the ground.....
PBS - WGBH/Frontline ^ | 1995 | PBS

Posted on 04/19/2003 2:05:26 PM PDT by ASTM366

As I do each year, I post information to commemorate the attack by FBI agents in military vehicles on the Branch Davidians compound near Waco, Texas on April 19, 1993.

The Branch Davidians, a reclusive group of Christian believers, had been attacked 51 days earlier by over 100 heavily armed BATF agents, surrounded and subjected to psychological warfare techniques by government agents. On April 19th the feds sent in military vehicles to fill the building at the Branch Davidian compound with chemical agents to flush out the remaining occupants. What resulted was a fire that burned to death nearly all the occupants; INNOCENT men, women, children and infants. Some committed suicide by self inflicted gunshot.

To this day the federal government has never accepted responsibility for the events of 1993, nor have they apologized for their ugly and glaring display of unchecked power.

In a tragic and spectacular act of revenge, Timothy McVeigh and his associates carbombed the offices of the BATF and FBI in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995.

"Well, some people have day jobs and a family at home afterwards."

So you at least you admit you do not have the time for research.

that is absolutly false, the FBI had a security perimeter around the compound, not even the local rabit population could get out undetected let alone a lanky murderer

You are absolutely false...The FBI was hanging around town days before the assault...They had plenty of time to pick up Koresch...

And since when are hunting rifles and shotguns illegal...Oh yeh, I forgot...They are now assault weapons...

There's not much doubt that the fire was caused by inflammable propellant that was used in the chemical agent pumped into the building.

You guys are worse than the idiots who think the moon landings were faked,

Surveillance tapes have the cop killers talking about toarching the compound in great detail,

Oh, let me guess, the cult was infiltrated by kamikaze FBI agents to talk about burning the facility to cover up the real cause of the fire the FBI had planned on starting

I think that iscool ment that before the BATF bungled things in the beginning they(BATF) could have arested Vernon Howel aka David Koresh when he went to town. Which he in fact did do. I think the stake out agents across the road from Mt Carmel kew this too.

The cop killers are on TAPE talking about starting the fire, no ifs ands or buts

They talked about doing something with fuel; someone else said they were planning on using Molotov cocktails as anti-tank weapons. All such discussions occurred long before the fires actually started.

Regardless, there is ample evidence that the government, with malice aforethought, acted in a manner which could be expected to start a fire or contribute to its spread.

Finally, the point remains that the whole things started when government agents illegally conducted a no-knock raid and made zero effort or intention to lawfully serve a search warrant [even on a no-knock raid, a warrant is to be given to the occupant of the dwelling once things are under control; nobody on the BATF raid had a warrant, nor knew of anyone else having it]. I think it fair to regard the initial raid as a sine qua non of the final outcome.

You must've bought the government spin. In reality, Vernon Howell never changed his name, he wasn't selling his people apocalyptic visions he claimed were from God, he wasn't out cruising nightclubs for new followers, and instead of selling guns and gun parts for money, he was really doing sacred art that he sold at a roadside stand. < /sarcasm >

in my youth I was a pyromaniac, I made lots of molotov cocktails, and I never heard of making one out of HAY, what were they going to do? drop flaming bales of hay on the FBI tanks?

they were talking about lighting HAY on fire and the discussions were taking place seconds before the FBI's IR equipment picked up the fires starting within seconds of each other in differant parts of the compound.

The cop killers started the fire, DEAL WITH IT

The Feds shot first, and all the Davidians were acquitted of the charge of Murder.

Facts are stubborn things....

White wash?

Fact: The cult had assembled a massive arsenal of weapons all of which were legal. (ATF agents even shot some of the guns) they dealt in arms!!

Fact: It has not been proven who shot first. But it sure makes me think that the ATF shot first when Closed Circuit video of the whole event suddenly disappears and the two front doors, which would prove who shot first vanish.

Fact: Murdering more than 30 innocent unarmed women and children with bullets and CS gas is a massacre in my eyes.

Fact: It is currently not known who started the fire. Fact is that incendiary grenades were shot at the compound by the FBI on the very day (Which they tried to conceal for many years). It is also of interest that firemen that were called to the scene were not allowed by the FBI to extinguish the flames!!!

Stop them from pulling the wool over your eyes. Inform yourself with the links above. And don't try to trump someone who worked on Waco research for 100's of hours.

The 9 survivors were not involved in the murder of the ATF agents, you can't convict people of what they didn't do.

The murderers commited suicide

The BATF hearings made no mention of any tape such as you describe. Perhaps you can provide me a citation to it?

I do not know what your problem is. I repeat: Janet Reno exhibited far more concern for Elián González than she did for the children in that compound. That statement doesn't require research. Deal with it. Find somone else to trump up an argument with and maybe consider a rabies shot. /end transmission

Man, you Jack Booted Thug lickers are out in full force tonight. Since Koresh was such a bad guy, why wasn't he simply apprehended on one of his many trips to town or down to the gun range (where he frequently was in the midst of feds)? The story didn't wash then and to this day doesn't pass the smell test. Got keep the fed's blood thirst quenched from time to time and try to scare the rest (which BTW isn't working) that choose to retain our God-given rights at all costs. I suppose you buy the government's Ruby Ridge story too! Just another Lon Horiuchi blood sport fan I see.

self defense?
shooting police officers isn't self defense in texas, it is capital murder

Nobody was convicted of capital murder by a Texas jury. If law enforcement is operating illeagaly self defence is a valid defence.

David Koresh had more than ample oppertunity to release the children, but the coward decided they would be more valuble as human shields, and all the children who were shot were killed at point blank range apprently by their mothers.

Your the one pulling wool over your eyes, the evidence is a clear as day, but your set continues to persue paranoid conspircy theroys. I am guessing most of your "Waco Research" comes from those stupid videos and tapes that are sold at gun shows. My favorite is the one that claims Israeli involvement in Waco.

I'm talking about the title of the thread: Fed's attack Texas "church"

The Branch Dividians were not a "church", they were a cult!!

that is because they commited suicide, you can't put a corpse on trial (unless it's Oliver Cromwell)
