CIA: Hizbullah Cells in US Could Strike if Syria Pressed (up to 12 groups in USA)
World Tribune Breaking News ^ | April 22, 2003 | staff report

U.S. Agencies have warned that Hizbullah has been recruited by Syria to prepare massive retaliatory attacks in any confrontation between Damascus and Washington.

U.S. Officials said that the Central Intelligence Agency and State Department have warned that Iran and Syria could employ Hizbullah to launch attacks against U.S. interests in Europe, the Middle East and North America.

They said the Shiite movement is seen as more entrenched in the West than Al Qaeda and could have up to 12 cells in the United States alone.

'It has a signifcant presence of trained operatives inside the United States waiting for the call to action,' Sen. Bob Graham, a former chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said.

'In recent years they have been infiltrating this core into the United States-people who have gone through their training camps and have the skills of terrorist activity.'

I am sure the "peaceful" ME types who reside in the country are fully aware a second terrorist incident will result in a lot fewer ME types .... at least if they are smart.

A major obstacle to a U.S. strike on Hizbullah is that unlike Al Qaida, Hizbullah agents outside of Lebanon enjoy Iranian diplomatic immunity.

Officials said Hizbullah agents abroad work out of Iranian embassies under diplomatic cover.

Time to kick all Iranian diplomats out of the US, including those in the UN.

Time to tell Lebanon and Iran that any attack on the US or their allies will earn them a nuclear ticket straight to hell

Odd how the terrorist cells appear to be located in Blue (algore) counties exclusively.

(What - have they been tele-commuting for their training?)

Just tell Assad that if there is a terrorist attack in the US that even looks like Hezbollah, Damascus will be visible only in old photogaphs and there won't be any Syrians left to complain about it.

Hezbollah supporters in NYC and DC regularly fly (flew) the Hezbollah flag right there in the middle of anti-Bush and anti-Israel rallies.

Right on our own American soil.

Fed sharpshooters should have lit them up from a distance, no questions asked.

Now we gotta search for those needles in the haystack.
