A good response to the pizza defense: Are you selling pizza?

I hate telemarketers!!!!
Bunch a taliban telemarketers I call them. I hate the automated ones even worse. I wish we could make them stop once and for all. If I wanted a service, I would inquire of it. I don't need some bozo calling my house to sell me anything. They must be stopped. I signed up for that donotcall.com, it has not stopped them in the least. My remedy, get dial up modem and just stay online all day. Use a cell phone to call friends.

I have a friend who's joy is to see how long he can keep telemarketers on the phone. His longest was a vitamin salesman (while he was watching a football game).
He listened, asked questions and would start to give them his credit card number (only the first 4 numbers) then he would interrupt himself and ask another question.
He talked to the salesman, supervisors and others.
They hung up on him after 3 hours.

Also one fun trick is to return direct mailers business reply enevolpes with crap from the food crap, old coffee grounds, etc. Really evil.Printers' lead is better. It can be had in a piece about 3 x 5 inches and 1/4 inch thick. It is extremely heavy and fits neatly into a business reply envelope.
