You have exceeded the limits of your intellect, such as it is, childish, angry, schoolboy Monsieur Yokel. Well, at least you didn't wash up on our shores. Or have you ever washed up anywhere??

The USA is not a consultative ally as Turkey found out over Iraq.

Valid enough. But if we became a consultative ally, we'd never get anything done. Someone always will have some objection or a better way for us. Being consultative invites other countries to throw obstacles in our path, much as the Weasels recently did. Naturally, the Weasels have demanded that we make an example of them. The virtues of multilateralism aside, NATO was formed to specifically avoid us having to be consultative.

I'm glad the Greeks are getting more forceful on terrorism. I have to wonder if this is tied to their upcoming disastrous Olympic preparations and to their hopes to resolve the Cyprus issue. I think so. And it's a smart move by the Grecians.

False. You need a unanimous vote to do anything with NATO, Thus consultations are part of the organization.

But if we became a consultative ally, we'd never get anything done.

Who says we need to get anything done? Why should we? How does empire benefit me?

I have to wonder if this is tied to their upcoming disastrous Olympic preparations

Why disastrous? Because the Games won't look like a Disney production? Good! The Olymoics are supposed to be messy. The Games are a substitute for warfare.

And no--they have nothing to do with Cyprus either. N17 is a small terrorist organization. Always has been. Sammy The Bull Gravano killed more people in his Gotti years than the N17 group. They got busted because a bomb went off prematurely. N17 was like the group version of the Unabomber.

You've got to be kidding. NATO was formed so that we couldn't be denied free movement around Europe to defend it and so we wouldn't have to beg puny countries for permission to do something.

You can speak of the treaties if you like. I'm talking about what everyone knew was going to happen in the event of a defense of Europe against the old USSR.

Treaties do matter but maybe the Native Amerians were right and no one should trust treaties with us....and you have to be kidding! NATO was a consultative body and every member had a veto.

This is why the United States (particularly since Ronald Reagan) have endevored to form bi-lateral treaties with individual nations. Large organizations, like the UN and Nato, can be hijacked by a single nation with an agenda. In this case it was france.

With the formation of the EU army, I would look to see more forced purchasing of french and german military products as an means of ecconomic protectionism. BTW, greece produces a small light tank carrier they could sell to an EU army.

The olympic preparations are waaaay behind schedule. The new and very nice, modern airport is completed but the highway to the airport is not. In fact greece did not have any modern highways until two years ago. Now they have one (1). The construction is complicated because they are constantly hitting antiquities. Athens is over 5000 years old. (If you ever have the chance to walk in the part that is at the foot of the acropolis you will be amazed. The houses are crowded like they were thousands of years ago.)

They director in charge of the olympic develpment comittee, her name escapes me, is asking for the second loan to be given early because they have run out of money. The Greek on the street is just hoping to avoid national embarassment.

FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES

thre phrase in question is a vulgar Slur in Greek. Phonetically mispelled too.

To put it in the MOST polite way: The phrase directs the listener to have sexual relations with themselves.

as in "go******* * *."

These Phrase is very very bad and would violate FR rules.

I will not go into the use of the word soft since poor spelling made the word harmless and demonstrated ignorance.

"Have you done this to to other people too? Might you have any idea where I might want to direct this rather revealing evidence?"

OK, here's where to direct your "revealing evidence." But first, you'll need to stand up and close your office door, if you have one..............
