"Answer: one nation, one leader, one party. Israel, Sharon, Likud." "

This is an obvious reference to the Nazi slogan, "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Fuhrer" Buchanan is truly evil.

His ideas are as loathsome as the notion that used to be bruited abroad about Roman Catholics; that they were disloyal to the U.S. and took their orders from the Vatican.

One would have imagined that given his people had been subjected to the very same prejudice Buchanan would have been stopped in his tracks. But no, he's way too wicked for that.

The biggest problem with this article is that it projects Reagan as some kind of weak president, when in fact Reagan restored the US into the strongest nation on earth. Certainly Bush has re-established this after 8-years of Clinton, but to paint Reagan with the same brush as Carter is ridiculous.

"The first printed use of the term "anti-Semite" or "anti-semitic" was in the Athenæum of London, in 1881, according to the OED."

The first printed use in *English*. Alouette is quite right, as usual, the term was coined by the noted German Jew hater, Willhelm Marr.

From the Simon Wiesenthal Center:

MARR, Wilhelm: German anti-Semite. He brought racist ideas to a wide audience, introducing the word "anti-Semite" into the political vocabulary, by founding the "League of Anti-Semites." The "League" failed as an organization, but was historically important, being the first to create a popular political movement based on anti-Semitism.

Indeed - I was just trading freepmails with someone who reports that the 1966 printed edition of the OED traces the usage to the aforementioned Mr. Marr. Presumably, sometime between now and then, the online edition - the edition I was referring to - has begun reporting the earliest known usage in English. So, there you go :^)

1991: "I think God made all people good. But if we had to take a million immigrants in, say Zulus, next year, or Englishmen, and put them in Virginia, which group would be easier to assimilate and would cause less problems for the people of Virginia?"

Pat Buchanan said this? And you see this as a problem? You must be some kind of weirdo Palpatine.....

Give me a third world guy with a work ethic and an ability to haggle, and he'll be a good American. You can keep a socialist member of the white mobocracy with a sense of entitlement in England or France - I don't want him.

That is an incredible collection of quotes and unmistakable in their animus.PJB and his cohorts are loons.Gee, it's nice when a side benefit to this War has been the complete discrediting of his tattered reputation, and hopefully all who defiantly seek solace under his umbrella. Thanks!

But no one will ever be able to call *him* a racist or Jew hater like certain other posters who infest FreeRepublic.

LOL. Quite a Buchanan dossier you keep. Truth is an absolute defense - so which is not true?.

Moment of truth arriving on Bush's American interest two-state, two year Israel/Palestine peace plan. Which 'neo-cons' (Christian or Jewish) will support Bush and which will support Sharon?

Pat calls himself and his magazine an "America Conservative".

The Buchanan-cons = America first, constitution loving, abortion hating patriots. Neo-cons = liberal, world controlling, 'war everywhere' chickenhawks.

I have the complete OED in book form (you should see the size of it!) and on CD-Rom and it does the very same thing.

Third world guys don't expect perks, paid vacations, pensions or high pay. They come in, do their job, and leave at the end of the day.

Your beloved white mobocrats are always busy organizing on you, lobbying for higher pay or more benefits, and doing it all while they're on your dime.

What warped logic. If a person doesn't support Bush on the ridiculous "road map" it makes one a traitor?
