As I remember, Volpe and his attorney were caught in a major lie to the judge.
Once someone lies to the judge, their goose is cooked.
Their only chance to avoid maximum penalty is to say they are guilty and throw themselves at the mercy of the court.
One wonders what your agenda is.
My agenda is to ask a question about the Louima case that I've heard no one ask before.
Now, tell us your agenda.
In modern times, how often do you hear of Swedes or Netherlanders jumping out of bushes anywhere in the world, porn or no porn, to rape people?
Mere coincidence, I'm sure.
Not his real name.
Mere coincidence, I'm sure.
I've read that cancer has increased over the same time period that television ownership has increased---does that prove television causes cancer?
No. Cell phones cause cancer. And high tension wires. And bacon.

Everything
Everything gives you cancer
Everything
Everything gives you cancer
There's no cure, there's no answer
Everything gives you cancer
No caffeine
No protein
No booze or
Nicotine
-"Cancer", Joe Jackson
He did not accept twenty years to avoid more. He got the max. He was guilty. The story is that he was smacked by Louima's cousin outside the Brooklyn club and he took it out on Abner. (btw...there is nothing criminal at all in Louima's past). Louima was a citizen of NYC who was brutalized by a cop in uniform in a pct. Put your sympathy where you will.
Yes, they may have already past through that stage of evolution.
Homosexuality has actual rights spelled out by law now, instead of being illeagal. For a shift from illeagal to special leagal status is a 150% shift. Hetrosexuality is not a protected status.
If correlation does not prove causation, tell me what does? If statistics and testamony of pedophiles and rapists have no bearing, then there is nothing left to talk about. You deny anything that has bearing.
If reality does not prove relevant, than you are wasting my time.
What actual rights does it now have spelled out by law?
If correlation does not prove causation
There's no "if" about it.
From the Texas A&M University Department of Statistics Web site:
"We must be very careful in interpreting correlation coefficients. Just because two variables are highly correlated does not mean that one causes the other. In statistical terms, we say that correlation does not imply causation. There are many good examples of correlation which are nonsensical when interpreted in terms of causation.
Ooops, wrong drug.
