Well, ok.
I much prefer being a "citizen" than a "subject"

Good luck arguing with these mental defectives.
The problem is that anti-monarchical Americans are like the abused children of a broken home, who then grow up and become ardent enemies of the family as an institution. Monarchy (allegedly) did not work for the thirteen colonies, so it can't possibly work anywhere else. Americans (allegedly) hated King George III, so people everywhere must also hate their kings.
And-- by God -- if they don't, that means that they are evil and we must forcibly correct them.
I blame the Yankee Puritan heritage for turning the U.S. into the most arrogant, intrusive, self-righteous nation on the face of the earth. This attitude has survived even after the explicitly Christian content of original Puritanism has been sacrificed. Now it is wanton hedonism, materialism, and anti-European cultural "diversity" that have become the pillars of the civic religion of the U.S.
The "political correctness" that so-called conservatives pretend to deplore when it intrudes on their private lives, reflects the same self-righteous know-it-all attitude that has motivated the Yankee government in all of its dealings with foreigners.
If hereditary monarchy is an integral part of a foreign culture, then it should be preserved. But the Yankee hypocrites don't really care about allowing foreigners to be themselves, because that might cut into the overseas markets for American rubbish, both commercial and cultural.
Although America has traditionally done all in its power to destroy the Christian monarchies in Europe, over the past several decades our rulers have become defenders of Islamic hereditary monarchy. Imagine that! I wonder if this has anything to do with the probability that the Arab "street" would vote overwhelmingly for the formation of Islamic republic of given half a chance. And this might not be very good for American business. So a crowned head is good if he will function as a stooge for the Yankee military/industrial complex, but BAD if he merely represents the native culture.
American ideology is always quite flexible when it's a matter of making a buck. And they wonder why people hate us.
