I was as close to the creep as that pic once. Not a pretty sight. He was looking right at me so I gave him the bird.

Juvenile, but I had to.

What was his reaction? Were his eyes wicked?

I'm glad you gave him the bird.

Make her vote on a few Judicial nominees first.

No vote is needed. Two words: RECESS APPOINTMENT.

Great idea, harp!!! I know this makes too much sense, but here goes:

The fastest and easiest tax cut to administer would be a moratorium on the SS tax for the remainder of the year. You could set the date of implementation at 7/1/03, so that all the payroll administrators could make the change to their payroll programs.

Don't know what the exact hit would be on the SS 'Trust Fund', but employees and employers would each see an immediate 6.2% bump to their bottom lines. IOW, that's an extra $30 a week to someone grossing $500. Or to a small company with a weekly payroll of $25,000, that's an immediate tax break of $1500. Do that for 26 weeks, and you've got some serious money going back into the economy.

Speaking of the 'Trust Fund', we're taking a trip to DC this summer for our vacation, and I want to show my kids where the Trust Fund & Lockbox are located. Anybody know the address?

For those who think I'm serious: (/sarcasm).

That's funny, but I guess I do look a bit like ol unca Jed.

Except he's pretty tall, nice looking and usually better dressed.

Glad to see things are picking up for you.

If your wife is so interested in the old ruin, why don't you come over, next day you're free? I'll give her a tour. Bring the kids, the house is mostly empty and nobody plays tennis and nobody swims but me. It would be nice to have a little noise around the old barn.

I'll freepmail my number. Call ahead and I'll have the gate open and the puppies locked up.

It was at a protest in Boston years ago. We took them by surprise, there were freepers and republicans all over. Shocked the hell out of them. Teddy the fat drunk Kennedy looked like he'd have a stroke.

Clinton snuck in the back way but when he left he came out where the crowd was, circled the lot with the inside light on, probably thinking we were fans.
We all jeered and hooted.

He looked half surprised, half pissed off. Wish the window had been open, but I'd have gotten arrested for sure.

I'll have a good idea of what her platform will be.

At least you might think you'll have a good idea....... She'll change as fast as the wind direction and the price of eggs, depending on what she thinks it will get her.

But it'll be interesting if you keep track and then post it and we'll see how much the "press" prints.

Really?

Ellen's always pointed to your place and wondered what it was like inside. Seems all the locals think it's haunted.
My oldest boy Jeff has been to your halloween parties. He talks about it a lot, and about your daughters too. :)

How about sunday if it doesn't rain? Still a little cold for swimming isn't it?
Ellen will freak.

Sunday's good. The pool is indoors if anyone wants to swim so it doesn't matter if it rains.

We know Jeff. Nice kid. Don't think Amy will be home but she might be.

I wanted to talk to you anyway. Had an idea about something and might need some help.

Got to go now. See you sunday, afternoon, anytime.

...more than 180,000 New Yorkers will begin to lose their unemployment benefits... and more than 100,000 New Yorkers have already exhausted their benefits.

Let's see. Isn't she some big Phoobah from New York? You know (a little Hillary! lingo there), the State that is piling on the new state taxes by the billions over Pataki's threatened veto? You know, Liberal New York - the State with the highest taxes in the country already?

You'd think she could do something in her own back yard rather than trying to get the rest of us to pay for it!

No wonder so many New Yorkers are unemployed. Who can afford to hire people there, much less start new businesses?

I will wager you tha by this time next month, she will have a job.

Isn't it funny how jobs magically appear AFTER the "benefits" stop flowing.

As someone who has never been given/received Gov't benefits/or received other peoples tax dollars for free in order to live, I take great offense at this wretched woman trying to keep people down, instead of trying to create jobs for these people. Every LEGAL citizen in America is employable at some job or another,if you look hard enough, even move to another state if you must.(Which is why I got angry, when every Media Outlet said "Jessica had no choice but to join the ARMY". Oh yeah? She should've looked at the L.A. Slimes Sunday Classified Ads. It's only about 150 Pages thick. My apologies for the digression, though not what I said and yes I know, circumstances alter cases naturally. )

Clinton noted that at the end of the month, more than 2 (m) million Americans and more than 180,000 New Yorkers will begin to lose their unemployment benefits.

Hey, Hillary! ~~ You want jobs? Start by demading a tax reduction for individuals and businesses in New York.

Prove you want to do everything possible to keep businesses and jobs in New York---Support the President's economic plan.

Until and unless you do this, Hillary! ~~~ close your pie hole. We're in no mood to economically support your dream of a welfare state; even if it includes New York.

My unemployment was scheduled to end July 1, but I just got hired.

You understand that "extending" benefits does add to the numbers on the rolls at any given time, and makes it appear that unemployment is higher than it really is.

At the right time, W. needs to stop with the extended benefits and watch the unemployment rate fall back to lower levels, making it appear that the economy is doing well.

That is why Hillary! is calling for the extension, and why her cries will get shrillery-er as the election approaches.
