I am a stay at home father, and no I'm not less of a man, I don't suffer from sexual dysfunction, I'm not stupid, I'm not lazy, I'm not suffering from low self-esteem, I'm not lacking in respect or love from my wife and most days I don't even smell bad.
Let's see now. I've stayed home with my children for 11 years this June. Amzingly enough, the date coincides with the birth of our first child.
Liberal minded people that we (wife and I) are, we somehow thought that having a parent at home was preferable to putting our children in daycare. I get the feeling that many of you wouldn't bat an eye at daycare. That's so sad.
I refuse to apologize for marrying a successful driven woman. I won't do it. I refuse to apologize for being more patient than most. I won't do it. I refuse to apologize for loving every minute I've spent with my children, and I've spent more with mine in 11 years than most fathers will spend with their children in their entire lives. I won't do it. I refuse to apologize for any of it. I'm not going to do it.
I'll bump to that...
