So what are the Republican to do? Im a street kid and as we used to say when things got rough: "Take off the gloves and put on the boots".

As naive as we may be about China, they are even more naive about the United States.
They saw Clinton and Gore AS America, not a segment of it. They are learning now, and it's back to the drawing board.
China has a choice, as I see it. They can either get with the program, or be a flailing, waste product of history. It's all up to them.

The wreckage of America's educational system is a sad and destructive monument to the follies and intolerance of liberal thought. Gee, ya think?

Actually the American education system is extremely effective. It does exactly what it is intended to do: turn out millions of brainwashed, indoctrinated, liberal Democrats.

It's a little scary because I believe there is a lot of truth in this article.

I would love to hear more about China's perception of the US.

Liberals are so angry and mean-spirited because their party was stolen from them right under their noses by Socialists and they have no place to go.

I think it's slowly sinking in that liberalism has gone to far and that the democrats are the party of liberals.

If after the response of President Bush and the American people to the September 11 massacre, Chinese officials still consider America to be in a state of decline, then Chinese officials are even more dangerously deluded than anyone thought!
It's easy to understand their misperception. The American people twice elected Clinton to the presidency, and there is a strong current of "Liberalism" (an Orwellian word meaning the opposite of free-thinking, freedom-loving, and "liberal" in the true sense of the word) in contemporary American culture, and "Liberalism" is decadence.
However, anyone who misperceived America as decadent--this current of "Liberalism" notwithstanding--overlooked The American Heartland--Bush Country!

So what are the Republicans to do? The Second Amendment was the only thing that stood between us and Gore stealing the election in broad daylight.

I would love to hear more about China's perception of the US. During the EP-3 affair early in the Bush administration, I wrote the Chinese embassy and told them they would be making a serious mistake not to take our President Bush seriously.
I told them that our new President had been elected by the "sleeping giant" part of the electorate that lived in the towns and heartland of America, and who were not at all like the liberal degenerates in the cities who had elected the degenerate Clinton.

So what was their reply?
