She also doesn't know history...talking about how "loved" Kennedy was. The fact of the matter is that he was unpopular and was going to lose re-election.You got that right. That is something people either overlook, forget, or never heard in the first place. Those of us who were around at the time remember what political trouble Kennedy was in. He looked very much like a sure loser in 1964. Then, he was assassinated and suddenly became some sort of a faultless martyr, instead of the weak, vacillating President he actually was.
Most people felt he would have been beaten handily by the emergent Barry Goldwater. As it happened, the JFK sympathy vote was just too much for Goldwater to overcome. So, LBJ was swept into the Presidency - a man Kennedy detested. We got Vietnam and the Great Society instead of the Conservative tidal wave that was poised at that time to return America to her Constitutional roots.
This was an event at a historically crucial time that changed America for the worse, probably forever! Even Reagan was unable to stop the headlong slide into Socialism.

I heard that woman on Rush today. I'm glad he let her talk. The more she said the more obvious her ignorance was. I laughed out loud when she said she didn't know anything about Hubert Humphrey, but I was howling when she said she didn't know anything about the economy. Poor woman! She got all that upset just to make a fool of herself.

They needed a hero! Kennedy was the closest they could come up with. War hero? What the hell was he doing sitting there in a channel (The ramming of PT109 by a EOJ destroyer) with no observers or listeners? The man should have been court-martialed instead of rewarded with a medal, but lucky for him, his dad was the ambassador to England which carried a a lot of weight. Most of Kennedy appears to be myth or what he "could have" done if he lived. He was liked because he was a young president that presented a good image. Guess what, I voted for him at the time. (Hey I was a college senior what did I know?) He rewarded me by having me drafted a day after Christmas. That woman on the radio sounded like she may have been in her early 20's at the time. She probably voted for him because he was better looking than Nixon. He wasn't the greatest president of the 20th Century by any means.

Amended...there is a difference b/w a "lefty" and a Democrat voter.
Politically active, "in the know" left wingers are vile, evil people.
Many people who vote for Dems vote because "Republicans are for the Rich". They aren't evil, just stupid and ignorant.

Why do the Democreeps think that Kennedy was some kind of god and totally untouchable? But thats the way liberal are... they want and demand a leader for there god.
They want a charismatic tyrant... a cult of personality
Liberal in there most unguarded moments will tell you this themselves
Many years back on an All in the Family were they had Archie arguing with the super liberal Maude
.. Archie brings up FDR were upon Maude gets total indignant and with here nose in the air as high as it would go states about FDR He was a God!
That has always stuck with me as what wrong with liberal
They view there leaders as untouchable infallible gods

I saw an interview with Goldwater in which he said LBJ's victory was the result of the basic conservatism of the American people. Forget about the political labels: the United States had had three Presidents in three years, and the electorate decided to stick with what they had. A fourth President in four years would have been too much change.

I recall this being a small issue a few years ago when Bush quoted Kennedy's tax cut speech. Ted Kennedy got himself all worked up in righteous indignation, claiming that only the Kennedys and the Democrats have a right to quote John Kennedy. How dare Bush quote John Kennedy!

The Kennedy era of CAMELOT (BS) started because of JFK. His TV debates with NIXON marked the end of the time when a president was elected on SUBSTANCE. JFK looked good, Nixon looked BAD. Right then and there began the STYLE over SUBSTANCE era that we see today. It no longer matters what is said as long as one looks good saying it. HIS STYLE was further defined and refined by "FEELING ONES PAIN" as perfected by JFK #2, BJ Toon himself.
Of course a LOGICAL reason for the devotion by so many to the KENNEDYS in general and JFK in particular is because of his assasination. It was done at a time in history that MARKED the END of innocence for many, as the counter-culture revolution and Vietnam War were right around the cornor. I remember this well, I had already been in the NAVY for 2+ years and getting ready for my first deployment.

I nearly fell off my chair when this woman said Rush had no right to use Kennedy's voice ... huh ...??
My mom who's a 90 yr old democrat - said the woman was, "stupid; ecnomics are economics".
I also told my mom that Ted Kennedy was asked about JFK's tax cut statements and how they were exactly what Bush was saying today. When she heard Ted's response - she said again, "why are these people so stupid".
I rest my case.

( America - You Are The Greatest!!)
Oh man! Why am i not surprised that someone posted about this nut?! "I don't know anything about Humphrey"??? "I don't know anyting about economics"??? Why are you voting, you stupid twit? This woman gives women a bad name.
I grew up in DC when Kennedy was president. Many black households had his picture on the wall (soon to be joined by Martin). Plus, being Catholic at the time, I got a double whammy of 'St. JFK.' Balooney. Any thinking black will tell you Nixon did more for blacks than JFK and Johnson put together.
I have to hand it to Rush - he's always a gentleman, but he musta come close to wanting to hand this woman her head...
I had an unfortunate black-liberal upbringing, but I've come to my senses (running your business will do that for you) and yes, liberals are EVIL.

I was listening to O'Reilly last night. He told Margaret Carlson that in his lifetime Americans have only been emotionally invested in three presidents.
JFK
Reagan
and Bush 43.

Rita X is psychotic. I remember one of her calls from last year. Rush couldn't get a word in with her. Finally, he just had to end the conversation.
Rush kept saying to Karen from Sacremento, "You love me. I know you love me." LOL! Rush did well at keeping his cool towards this feeble-minded liberal. It was great.

"Conservatives think liberals are WRONG,"
I am a conservative. I think liberals are wrong and evil. Mainly evil. Also ignorant, illogical, usually stupid, mean spirited, narrow-minded, bigoted, shrill, and annoying. And their women are ugly and their children dress funny.

If you noticed, the caller gave it all away - she said he was a good Catholic, like her. You see, that means he could do no wrong. The cult status has everything to do with that.
