ABC'S "Nightline" dedicated to slamming Bush's Aircraft Carrier landing!
ABC | 5/8/03 | I'm ALL Right!

Posted on 05/08/2003 9:52:55 PM PDT by I'm ALL Right!

ABC is broadcasting the Dem's desperation far and wide! Their entire program was dedicated to slamming President Bush's visit to the Lincoln. I find it amazing that this issue has become such an enormous talking point for the Democrats. Obviously, they don't have anything of substance to criticize about, and they are grasping at straws.

The Left has gone apeshit! I really hope they keep this up. Everytime the Democrats criticize it and the media, especially ABC helps its along, it gives the President free publicity. The Left is doing Karl Rove's work for him. He must be getting a good laugh or two out of all the unanticipated additional exposure on Nightline. You couldn't pay for TV time like this when the enemy is doing the job for you and in process is slamming the door on his own nose! I loooooooooooooooooove it!!! :)

The "Liberals" are hysterical. Bush dances circles around them, and the more rabid they get, the more they expose themselves as fools, desperately grasping at one straw after another, hoping against hope. You could almost feel sorry for the worthless, self-serving, immoral, decadent, mendacious, meritricious, parasitic low-lifes.

You must mean "meritricious" and "mendacious"--excellent words to describe Democrats/"Liberals".

It's so easy to click on the dictionary and the thesaurus online. If I can't think of just the right word, sometimes I can find it in the thesaurus. The etymology of words can lead to quite precise use, and because it's so easy to click on the dictionary, I do it often when I come across a word I don't know. I guess you do the same thing.

Seriously, there is something wrong with this entire scenario. There are scads of self destructive demon rats who foam at the mouth and babble useless spittle drenched epithets which reveal their smallness for all to see. But to have this drivel foisted onto tv sets across the red and blue lines of demarcation across this nation seems insane. Jennings has a fit about hospital doorknobs? Nightline overlooks a major breaking story....

Well, I caught the more "liberal than not" ABC live show, "The View," the morning after the President's speech. And the four there: Meredith Viera, Star Jones, Joy Behar AND Barbara Walters had me ROTFLMAO because they were all in agreement with Joy Behar's comment: " the President has not looked so HOT since his Yale days....." "What a hottie!" they all said...."Do you think that there will be a poster?" They also showed the front page of the NY paper that said : "TOP GUN...." Yes, they were being somewhat tacky and making Kintoonish reference to our beloved predident, however, it was in a spirit of fun and awe. And they kept on commenting how commanding, strong and GOOD he looked through the entire show.

SO, it would seem that the males at ABC, (along with their "it's our party, and we'll cry if we want to" cohorts ) are more than a bit "pea green with envy." Gee.... what do you guess the Klintoon Kouple thought when they saw THAT front page? Then again, maybe we are hearing those thoughts now?

All you need to know about how effective this is going to be for ABCNEWS:
Despite these obstacles, [Leslie] Stahl maintained that her early years with CBS were positive because they were "a huge learning experience." She had made her share of mistakes as a rookie and had learned from them.

One such mistake occurred when she was covering Ronald Reagan's reelection campaign in 1984. Apparently, Reagan had proposed some budget cuts in federally funded nursing homes and benefits for the handicapped. These cuts were very unpopular, and during re-election time, he wanted very much to improve his image on the issue. So while campaigning, he would engage in activities such as inaugurating new nursing homes and hugging and putting medals around kids at the handicapped Olympics. During these times, he would, of course, invite the press along to get some free publicity.

While covering these events, Stahl was keenly aware of Reagan's ulterior motives. So every time the camera showed Reagan's affected support for nursing homes and the handicapped, Stahl would steadfastly remind her viewers of his budget cuts.

To her surprise, her words did not have much impact on her audience.

In fact, a CBS study found that less than 25 percent of Stahl's audience understood her message while most thought that her piece was a positive news story on Ronald Reagan. It was then that she realized that "when the pictures [such as Reagan hugging a handicapped child] are emotional and powerful and when you are saying something that conflicts with them, the messages aren't married; the pictures will drown out what you say."

The RATS and their henchmen in the national media CANNOT win on this one. EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY SHOW BUSH ON THAT CARRIER, IT'S AN INCREDIBLE WIN FOR OUR SIDE. The words they use underneath the images are completely irrelevant.

[Note: The reason the quoted text is written with such an anti-GOP, anti-Reagan tone is because it's from the MIT student newspaper.]

Governor Bush made headlines when the state of Texas withdrew the education fund's investment in Disney stock and sold it off for other stocks. In the following months Disney stock plummeted to half of its value.

Better yet, some libs said that they would invest in Disney just because they perceived that Gov. Bush was divesting of Disney purely on moral grounds and they would show him. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Prediction: the flyboy pictures will not be used in the campaign. They won't be needed at that point, because thanks to the Democrats, the pictures are serving that purpose now.

The dems, leftisit/liberal/marxists are so upset because Bush had the courage, the will and the strength to go up against their icons (the EU and the UN) and win convincingly.

He also had the courage to make that dangerous arrested landing and the troops and patriotic Americans LOVE him for it. Such courage and fortitude garner naturally the politcal support they can only seek by bribes, pandering, threatening and other activities that are outgrowths of their nature. And they know it and knash their teeth over it.

That's what their ire is really all about.

Bush won't have to use them in his own campaign. Due to the rescinding of much of McCain-Feingold, other interested parties can use them in their literature. Rove can claim that he has clean hands.

It would be nice if Bush spent his August vacation trying to requalify on F-15's (the trainer variant) at Lackland AFB instead of puttering around the Ranch.

Just in time for the campaign, too....

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Here is Byrd's response via e-mail, received this morning. I did not receive it right away, but 6 1/2 hours after the message was sent, which leads me to believe it is not an auto-responder (?), but a cut & paste reply.

I am noticing that several of my e-mails to Dems respond this way also: "Please resend your message to me on my website." As in, "I didn't, and won't acknowledge you at this time."

(complete e-mail response starts now)

I am in receipt of your recent message to my office via electronic mail. In order to respond to your concerns more quickly and efficiently, you are now able to email me through my Web site. Please resend your message to my updated Web site at , and click on the "Contact Senator Byrd" link. If you are a West Virginia constituent, I will provide you with a written response.
