Former White House consigliere James Carville inadvertently admitted on Sunday that while his former boss Bill Clinton served as president of the United States, his top priority was his own sex life.
Carville's comment was offered in the heat of an argument with his wife, Mary Matalin, over whether the Bush administration had lied about arrangements for the president's visit to the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln last week.
It went unnoticed until WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg reviewed the Carville quote for his Sunday overnight audience.
A transcript of the Clinton spinmeister's remarks, delivered just hours before on "Meet the Press," quoted him as saying that Republicans tend to lie about what's important to them - money. But for Clinton, his sex life was what he cared about most.
The exchange went like this:
CARVILLE: Of course they lie ...
MEET THE PRESS MODERATOR TIM RUSSERT: You may be in the freezer, Mr. Carville.
CARVILLE: Of course they - I mean, look, I can't help it, because the record is ...
MATALIN: Oh.
CARVILLE: President Clinton lied about the thing that mattered, you know, he cared about: his sex life. Republicans lie about the thing they care about the most: money. Money. [End of Exchange]

MR. RUSSERT: But why dont the Democrats come forward and say, Lets block the tax cut. Lets repeal the 2001 tax cut and lets cut these programs and balance the budget in five years?
MR. CARVILLE: Well, I dontyou know, again, it may not be that you can balance the budget in five years. I mean, we have to bewe have tothat would put us in an unrealistic situation. But I think the Democratic presidential candidatesIm very hopeful Senator GephardtI mean, Congressman Gephardt has put together an imaginative plan on health care. Senator Lieberman, the father of homeland security,
has put together an imaginative plan on energy independence. I suspect that other Democrats are going to come forward with imaginative plans on the economy and other things. So Im very hopeful in terms of my party being able to address some of the big problems in America.
MR. RUSSERT: Mary Matalin, your husband, James Carville, has taken to sending letters on behalf of the Democratic National Committee. Heres his latest missive to Dear Fellow Democrat, and Ill show you on the screen. These people are playing for keeps. If we give this Bush crew four more years in the White House to do their dirty work, we wont recognize the America theyve created. Worst of all, they lie. Now, you know thats authentic.
MS. MATALIN: Well, he is the resident national expert on lying presidents, but he justI dont get his mail, actually, and Im quite sure he didnt write it. And I hope that nowhere in that letter are the words George Bush, Dick Cheney and liar in the same sentence or, to paraphrase your president, you will not be having relations with this woman.

MS. MATALIN: Give me a lie.

MR. CARVILLE: Yeah.
MS. MATALIN: ...the entire presidential election on where the ship was? This is nonsense.
MR. CARVILLE: No, were going to run itno, were going to run it on lost jobs, lost opportunity, lost health care. Were going to run it on the fact that Americathat this administration has taken this country at about every juncture and made it a worse country than it was when they took over. Thats what were going to run this election on. And were going to run this election on big ideas: ideas like health care, ideas like energy independence, ideas about restimulating this economy. And I guarantee you, Mr. Russert, this is going to be one interesting election, and I look forward to it.

MR. CARVILLE: President Clinton lied about the thing that mattered, you know, he cared about: his sex life. Republicans lie about the thing they care about the most: money. Money.
Okay. So President Clinton lied (under oath and on camera to the American people and attacked his critics) because he wanted sex. I can believe that sex mattered most to Bill Clinton. He's a sex addict and dangerous because of his addiction. He kept foreign dignitaries waiting while he was orally serviced. He deployed American troops while he was orally serviced; all of the "anti(Bush)war" protestors who defended Clinton because "it was just sex" obviously were just following marching orders. How can they defend a man who put American lives at stake WHILE he was being gratified and then say that President Bush it putting American troops into a dangerous situation (less than 200 of the "expected" 10,000s were killed).
So as I say, I understand that illicit sex is important to Bubba Clinton. Clinton's sex life shouldn't be that important to the DemocRats. So why did THEY lie? POWER. Carville explains that the "Republicans" all want money (but as I've shown, the top Rats also exploit that dollar using sweetheart deals). So why is it James, that the DemocRats lie?
Bill Russert kept interrupting in the above exchange. I contend it is because they are evil and want power. They can't get it by honest means (when their ideas are open to scrutiny) so they lie.
I would counter that while I find the liberal movement to be EVIL, that libs would find the conservative movement to be "mean" because it requires personal accountablity and recognizes that there will always be inequities in this world. But we are honest in stating our beliefs.
"Tee hee. This is the real me."
Oh WOW! This is incredible!
Can someone give this man a tin foil hat please?
